First Faced quilt

I inherited a bunch of quilting stuff from a friend's mom and this came from the box. She had three strips of of the diagonals started with lots of the white blocks in them. It was pretty weird and boring (in my opinion). I chopped them off and left just four of the white squares and made half-squares out of the others. I added the applique flowers (and I HATE doing applique). I also used her long strips that were sewn together for the mitered border. I decided to try facing the quilt because I couldn't image it with a binding on the front. It turned out to be 54" x 54" It does not have a home, but I am pretty sure it won't be here! :)

Well, it’s colorful! Good for you finishing it. My dear MIL gave me a baby quilt she had started years before and asked me to finish it. I think it was from a Simplicity pattern. It had a big teddy bear in the center and several wide borders. She was making it with brown, orange and bright yellow. I finished it and donated it right away. :)

I think it's pretty. Love the flowers you added. It would make someone a lovely baby quilt!

It doesn't look square. I think you did a great job modifying it. I think it's very pretty.

What a great job finishing a quilt that you would never have chosen to make. I think it's very soft-looking and pretty. Someone will love it.

Well I think it is beautiful and I just LOVE it. My fave colors are tblues, turqs, and aquas. All my inside woodwork is painted dark seafoam--the quilt would go beautifully in my house.! I would so appreciate the pattern name..thx.
