On the hunt again.

So after the failure and return of the Electrolux pair, we have lived with our old, tiny kenmore set. I am looking into buying a replacement set again. Although it’s not my preference, a stacked option is the only way to get some counter and storage space in the tiny room. I recently saw an ad got the LG Wash Tower. It looks like a good option. I like that all the controls are in the center and I won’t have to stand on tippy toes to work the dryer.

Any experience from the gurus?

what happened to the first set that is causing you to look for a replacement

The dryer had a weird thing where there was a little gap near the door. It kept getting zippers or tabs hooked in it and the clothes would get caught. When it happened the third time it caused the drum to get wedged and we were convinced if we weren’t home it could have started a fire.

My daughter just bought the LG wash tower and had it installed yesterday. She ordered from LG directly and Costco delivered it. Unfortunately, they were mostly delivery guys and she had a side vent setup which they could not do. She has the side vent kit on order now, but was able to hook up the dryer at the back to her old vent. She has only done one load, so obviously too early to say too much.

She loves the height and is better able to see the controls. She thinks the interior seems bigger?? She also likes the lit up interior.

Why don't you look into Bosch or Miele? My 7 year old Miele, I bought new, is going great. I have 3 old mieles that I bought off Craigslist and Facebook that have done well, with some issues that I can deal with. I know Roccogurl had a Bosch that she got several years ago that she liked. Haven't seen her posts recently so I don't know how it has aged.
