Mold on rough Hemlock vegetable garden

Laura

There is what looks like black mold spores on my rough hemlock raised vegetable planter. The wood was pretty wet when purchased and was not stored properly - so I know how it happened. I just don’t know what to do about it, if anything.

My plan was to put landscape fabric on the inside of the planter. Do I need to clean/bleach off the mold before I do that? Won’t the fabric up against the wood just create a new dark and damp environment for more mold? Given that mold is all around is this an actual issue or maybe just a cosmetic problem?

Appreciate any advice. Thanks!
