Yes I did:) They are pretty much the same tone as before - they were a pretty wood tone to start with but the finish especially around the knobs and some of the drawer fronts was showing wear and I did not want to put new counters on worn cabinets so I decided to refinish them. I have done refinishing projects before so I knew what to do. It was very time consuming but I don't have many cabinets - the blessing of a small kitchen:) I did not do the island or pie safe. Those were purchased at a local Amish store and are in great shape still. I also bought an unfinished wood hood with vent insert and finished it to match. One of the good things about oak is that there is slight variation in wood tones of the different boards - easier to get a new piece to blend.
