Huber warrants the product whether it's in the summer sun in Arizona or anywhere else. I would argue that overwintering in Virginia is easily half the exposure of the worst climate it could be exposed to and I wouldn't worry about it.

Strategery - he is not worried, but at the same time he always make dramatic statements ("you can stay like this for years!") which motivates me to get another opinion :)

Huber won't go beyond the 180 day warranty regardless of climate. Considering that their warranty--to the original owner only--is so strict, I'd consider further protection. Instead of adding a wrap, some builders are swiping liquid flash over the entire home.

Zip System Liquid Flash can be applied down to 35° F. It cures quickly from moisture in air and has no solvents.
