Write all your projects on little papers, put them in a hat, pull one out, and complete it.

Depending on where you live you might have to start working on the garden now, but you can do garden work AND - :) - devote 15-30 minute on the chosen quilt project too.

Dogs learn best with small blocks of time.. 5-10 minutes a few times a day. Let him hang out with you and as you‘re working incorporate little lessins/games for him, unless you‘re training him to be a bomb dog or such. That will be plenty of lessons and very low stress for you both which means he’ll learn faster and happier.

Oh, my project today is not quilt related. Along with my daily work, I’m sorting and purging one drawer each day until all the drawers (14) in my dresser and tall chest are neat and tidy and holding only what I wear.

One drawer a day means it will be a two week project.

Only one to do ASAP. Hem grandson's new suit pants for wedding. We leave in 10 days.

Next weekend the painter finally starts painting the whole interior of the house. And we're switching a couple of rooms. We have been slowly downsizing for the last two years, so a lot of clear out is already done. But this will mean some new flooring and window treatments, too. We were just about to start this when Covid hit, so I'm so glad to get going. We're also getting estimates for a fence for the new dog, a new washer and dryer and I'm trying to install a new DVD player. Seems it needs a coaxial cable so back to Best Buy for that.

As far as quilting, I have one charity quilt sandwiched, I think another one pieced. I want to make a quilt for DH's bed and I'm trying to decide if I will make two for the new twin beds in the guest room. I probably will. I still don't have a sleeve on the wall hanging for the family room once it gets painted next weekend. So that should probably be my next project, if it looks good with the paint.

Good thing I only work two days a week! OH, and I've already started cleaning out the gardens. Might hit 60 on Saturday - unseasonably warm,

That doesn’t sound bad compared to Kate. Can’t garden in Minnesota yet, but then I’m not there anyway. We’ll be in Palm Desert golfing until April 11, so not much of anything productive is getting done. I can’t even do much piecing here, because we have so many guests coming in the next five weeks. My life is so hard… not. My beloved daughter is arriving today. We’re very close, and I haven’t seen her since we left Minneapolis in early December. I’m so excited!

I am nearly finished with Mom’s projects. I pieced four lap size tops from things she started; quilted one last weekend and two the weekend before, and the fourth is on the frame. Then they all need binding. Two will go to her younger great grandsons (one went to the oldest g’gson for his wedding last summer), and the other two will be donated. After that I have just one more Mom project. She did two large, beautiful floral embroideries. I am going to piece them into a wall hanging then find a very special place to hang it. It will be nice to be done - Mom passed away in May 2016.

I also need to finish my Judy Niemeyer wall hanging. After piecing it I needed a break before starting the applique.

That ought to keep me busy till summer! No gardening here - if it can’t grow on its own, it’s not in my yard. LOL

We are still in Arizona and I am missing my sewing machine! I have a mermaid quilt in process that needs to be finished when we get home and need to make a sports theme quilt for her big brother. These go to a friend's grandkids.

Decide on a baby quilt for friend's second grandbaby due in early June - and I haven't even started it!

I am trying to finish my granddaughter's photo album for 2021. I am up to June ....

We are still at MIL's house. She fell and spent 4 days in the hospital and 2 weeks in skilled nursing. Home now. Her caregiver quit (we wanted to fire her anyway!) so now I am taking care of her. She is 96-1/2 and still in her own home. We got DH's sister to agree to move to AZ from Missouri and live with her and take care of her. She should arrive late next week. While taking care of her I have emptied all the kitchen cabinets, tossed stuff, relined shelf paper, organized and put away. The caregiver was supposed to clean but I have been doing that, too. We are also playing "shopping trip" to her closet seeing what fits and getting rid of stuff that doesn't. DH is dealing with all the medical stuff so it's been a challenge.

Did I tell you I miss my sewing machine? I am looking forward to being home in a few weeks!

Sue, so sorry to hear about your MIL; how lucky she has you! Have you considered buying a new, travel sewing machine?

We're in the Caribbean, where I have a Bernina 230. It survived Irma, although the walking foot and sewing stuff in another box left with the roof! This week the slide-in plastic table cracked, so trying to source a new one. Used it to make new Sunbrella boat seat cover, new chair cushion cover, quilted jacket, et cetera. Next up is DH's work pants, which really should be binned!

Can't survive without a sewing machine!
