I‘ve got a 25’ x 7’ back porch that I’d like to have redone. It needs to be reworked from the ground up entirely but the roof on it is fine. I was quoted $14,500 for the work which half of it is labor costs. I plan to have composite decking like Trex or Fiberon and vinyl railings, and beyond that it is a pretty basic back porch, not high off the ground, will have ”skirting”. I have searched for a while to figure out what people are charging for things like this and I cannot find answers. I don’t know anyone whose done their porch either. I have nothing to base it on and I’m having a hard time getting anyone to my home for a quote. It seems like a lot of contractors are looking for large projects only, or I’m too far away. And another I found does not provide a free quote.
