Couple suggestions. Some art piece above the bed and the bedding looks a bit too white, perhaps switching some throw pillows to a black & white design would add more interest.

If you feel brave enough consider painting the ceiling and the headboard wall dark grey to black.

Dawn......what are the drapes made out of and are they stock or custom

Hi Janeilene, the drapes are 108 inch long 100% linen from Home Depot on line, it's cool because you can hange them 3 different ways. The best part only $28 per panel. I think you can only get them on line, they are called "Linen Air" . The chrome drapery rods are from West Elm.

Your room looks great. Where are your bamboo shades from? Are they top down, bottom up?

The shades are bamboo South pacific Collection in "kon tiki" and they are top down/bottom up. I got them from SelectBlinds.com which was wonderful to work with( fast and good customer service) and their prices were about half of another big chain I had gotten a quote from!

This room is coming along beautifully! I am not a designer so I am not too comfortable offering suggestions. I am artist though and paint my own artwork for my own home and friends that ask me to help them with art for their homes :) For me, I would like to say that a simple abstract (original) in muted green tones would look stunning over your bed. Or, I think square mirrors to compliment your chrome theme would also look great:

I would suggest an accent of red somewhere - maybe in artwork you choose or within the pattern of a pillow you add to the bed. - Check out Feng shui - red does great things for relationships and intimacy - though be careful - not too much, LOL! (plus red or even a muted red would be a great "pop" against the neutral colors background you've chosen already) - I like your design so far - and I like your soffits in the ceiling - I've always wanted those - nice touch.

Actually, painting is not a profession for me. It is my hobby and passion :) I have been contracted before though and my pieces were sold in a French Home Decor store in one of larger malls in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Also, a while back Houzz Editor, Sheila Schmitz featured my dog and my living room where my artwork was acknowledged (that was exciting for me). Below is the link to Sheila's feature. Abstracts are easiest for me as the pen & ink type drawings I do take much more time. I am limited with time because I own a business.

P.S. -- Looking into your master bath, I keep thinking venetian plaster would look fantastic. I used do that too. It's very labor intensive and expensive to have someone contracted. It's worth it though. I venetian plastered my master bath in a dark brown. It's a statement on its own if you are familiar with venetian plaster. You might want to investigate it. Some beautiful colors are offered in Home Depot and in Lowe's Home Improvement if you have any of those near by to check out.

Hi there- great room!
My suggestion is to simply add some red accent pillows (especially as the holidays are just around the corner) - your second pic has a red cup on the night stand- see what you think...as for for art work- why not try an abstract piece in the bathroom area (to the left of the hand towl ring). I am not sure how much wall space you have available but its worth a try...using the same or similar colors to those of the pillows will enable you to tie the two rooms together.

Beautiful - I suggest black/white wallpaper print on back wall as an accent. Printed pillows and bedding - throw in another color - maybe turquoise or lime green? If you want something softer, try a softer shade of blue or even yellow for a nice pop.

Also consider painting the ceiling a light version of your accent color (yellow, turquoise, etc.)...

Love your room, can you please tell me where you got your table lamps, maker and cost if possible. Thanks!

Hi Dawn, GREAT job!, looks wonderful. I like the idea of the ceiling inset color, I think paint the colour of your carpet would work well there and create the right balance for the room. It wouldn't be too heavy or distract from the beautiful wallpaper you've installed. I also like how the cream fabric of the Roman shades would soften the overall boldness of the wallpaper, just a tad. (I'd mount the shade at the top of the wall just to increase the visual height of the wall) Again, great job!

Only thing missing is color. But how do you want the color? Pillows? A throw at the end of the bed? Paint? Pattern?

Process of elimination in narowing your color choices... Who sleeps here? What is the mood you want? Light, airy? Boutique hotel. Spa. Once you know the mood you want, the colors will come easier. I love all the whites & creams with the Dark woods grounding the room with sophistication. Think of texture. Perhaps a grey & white graphic wallpaper on the wall behind the bed? The headboard makes a great statement, you want to enhance it & not distract from it.

Also, spend some time in your own closet. What outfits do you wear most often? What colors are you most comfortable in? What kind of jewelry do you like? Bling? Add a beaded or sequined pillow. Streamlined, clean lines? Perhaps just one bolster.

You have an awesome sense of style. Interview yourself. Take a break from decorating & let the room tell you what it wants. And the when ou are done, don't be afraid to edit.

Oh my. I didn't realize it was the same space. Didn't see this coming. Is that a faux finish on the back wall? Completely changed the room. I've gotta think about this. Not sure how I feel about all that pattern on the bed.
