Until you put colors on yr walls can not give you good advice. Because colors on computers are so different than in real time.

Thats so true Nancy, but I have some confidence in these because I've checked these particular on line swatches against the sherwin williams fan deck. Granted, that's on my computer, iPad and iPhone. But since they look like a good match on all three, I feel I can recommend them with a relative degree of certainty. But as you've pointed out, nothing is "for sure" :)

Coastal Home Design - which pic are you referring to?

Since I've been pulling colors a lot today, I thought I'd throw this out there. Not sure how dark you would go, but this color would be very, very interesting with the furniture and the bedding. If there's a lot of light and all the other accents were bright and cheery, I could see it.

SW folkstone - brown gray

Definitely the folkstone is pretty moody color, but I like the yellows and greens with the bedding. The yellow seems to be in keeping with the vibrant happy colors in the bedding. Very strange for me, because I have never been a fan of yellow, but I think it works well in this case.

Here's a few colors on the bedding pic wall. If you like any I can change the color of bed to a dark brown color too

Mforr, I do like the folkstone with the contrast of the upholstered headboard, looks lovely, but I think the furniture is espresso.

I could only paint bed a dark brown, if it was the real bed it would have a much richer stain look to it.

Hmmm, seems that the dark headboard changes things dramatically. Wonder what Sarah will think? Folkstone was my #1 with the light headboard.

I still like it, but number one goes to tansy green with folkstone, hearts of palm and gleeful in a tie for second. I'm not overly fond of the yellows with the espresso headboard :)

Not sure which #4 Angela meant, but I meant that first group of four pictures with the dark brown headboard. Looks like it is hearts of palm or just fractionally darker than hearts of palm.

And look how nice it looks next to your dark wicker, Michele. That's a very good indication of how it would look with the espresso headboard.

yummy colour! good choice. if the room is smaller you will love it as the colour bounces off itself and will read slightly richer which is desirable in this case. you want to beware of 'wimping out' which is how it might look if the room is expansive. full moon is lovely on its own but your bedding may look a bit dirty in comparison. folkstone appears to have a smoked amethyst hint which will 'pop' the yellow and is a great foil for green. great suggestions

Hi Sarah! I love the idea of a warm grey against the citrus colors of your bedding. I also like what some others have suggested of a pale green. Whichever you chose, it's already looking great so far!

I like green and not yellow. The yellow IMHO does not go at all. Sorry.

Benjamin Moore Storm is a good contrast to any linen you bring in. What a darker colour does is it absorbs the dark colour of the bed to let the colour of your sheets stand out.

Wow! I can't believe all this. You all are amazing, especially you Michele! I never thought of going green! Hmmm, I will have to check those out tomorrow. My first inclination is toward the Tansy Green, but if Heart of Palm is as great as you say, maybe I should check it out too!

My only hesitation is many years ago, I wrongly judged a green for our bedroom. I wanted an avocado color, but we ended up with chartreuse. My husband hated it and I didn't have the energy to re-do it. So, I actually may wait to get his input on Friday (he is out of town). I would just hate to put up another green he hates. Ha ha.

I do LOVE the storm. But, with my headboard, I am not sure that'd be the best option. I do think it'd make the bedding pop, but it is pretty moody.

So, if y'all think the bedding brings out pinky tones in Golden Lab, do you think there is something similar without those undertones?

Sarah-get all the colors then get butcher block and then put them up in the room to see what they like. Look at it all times during the day. Or just old school way paint the colors on wall, that was what I did in my bedroom. The best thing is to see the colors in the room and decide.

Try Sherwin Williams: Mindful Grey SW7016 or Repose Gray SW7015. I recently painted my whole house mindful gray and have LOVED it. I also have tons of yellow accents and tans and oil rubbed bronze. It looks so rich and can change with any accent color you decide to go with in the future. Make sure you have a clean white trim like Sherwin Williams Alabaster SW7008 and it will make it look amazing.

Barnhart gallery put the colors together very nicely. Yes, would agree wait for your husband. Best would be to get poster boards or something similar and samples of the paint and paint the boards.
