Lighting is very personal, and as you've probably found there are thousands of options. What is your general style - contemporary, traditional, glamorous, other? Would you also be interested in a linear light over your island? (I have a 10'+ island and went with this linear light, but your style might be very different.) It would also help to know if you've narrowed down a finish.

I think it would help others help you if you would post:

• Pictures of your kitchen and adjoining spaces (is there a dining table light nearby you want to coordinate with?)
• An elevation of your cabinet plan if you don't have pictures and this is a new build or renovation
• Inspiration pictures of kitchens and lights that you like
• Tell us your ceiling height

yeah, I mean, the possibilities are endless. what are the finishes in your kitchen, meaning faucet, cabinet hardware... do you want two or three (which affects size)? is there a chandelier visible from the space that should harmonize?
