Retractable Insect Screen Door for large multislide pocket door openin

Hello,

We are looking to get a retractable insect screen door installed. We have La Cantina multislide pocket doors opening onto our backyard and they're 12 feet wide. Want to be able to leave them open and not have bugs into the house. These are set flush into the ground for a single level transition i.e. no bumps in the floor. The La Cantina insect screen isn't approved to be used and we're looking for other solutions.

Already considered Cantor (too bulky and high off the floor), Vista View (too high off the floor) and are now considering Wizard Horizon screens (these are only 7/16" high). However, the Wizard as installed by the contractor we are talking to has a really ugly protruding look and the contractor insists it should be done after everything else is completed.

Has anyone had experience with this particular insect screen with a better outcome or could you suggest an alternative that will span 7' H x 12' W and looks more integrated (flush)?

It may be moot.. but I'm curious. Why can't you use the screen door that goes with your sliding door? I looked at the LaCatina site, and their screen door looks great. Also, what is the screen door that appears in the second photo?

Were are you located?

Do you have a covered patio right outside of the doors? You could do roll up motorized screens on the patio.

I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area. We do have drop down insect screens for the patio outside, but I want the retract door as well so that we can go in and out easily.

It has been simply impossible to get to the precise reason why @LaCantina Doorswont sanction using their screen door with the pocketed multislide as it would have been the perfect solution for us. Believe me, I tried and it took me days to get through to their customer support and they wouldn't give me a definitive answer or any pointers to alternatives. Given how much I've paid for the doors, one would think their customer service would be better and more helpful. I'm utterly frustrated and wish I had gone with another manufacturer!

I think it might be because we have a flush sill or pocketed doors and the screen is too heavy or needs shoring up to be supported well. Our sales person said he was blocked from adding the screen to the order.

@millworkman the screen door company I got the Wizard recommendation from, does Phantom screens as well and I think they recommended the Wizard Horizon because I want both doors to have a flush sill.
