The shutters make the window over the garage look smaller. You can't have wider shutters because they won't fit most of your other windows, and it will look odd to have different sized shutters on windows next to each other. Yes, your house might look a little nicer with a bigger window there, but all houses have minor flaws. The trick is to focus on the great parts and ignore the not-so-great parts. Overall, it's a nicely proportioned house.

I like the idea of a pergola above the garage door for detail. Enlarge the porch columns, install large sconces, and work on your landscaping.
