Dried flowers (or pampas grass) are not the same as a live plant (or a really nice faux plant - although, I am not a fan of faux plants, I do understand why sometimes they are selected).

Most plants will have (at least) some green on them - the green would be a nice addition to your room = make the room more inviting and cozy.

A tree in the corner would be a plus.

The area rug should be turned sideways IMO.

You could bring in green plants (real or faux) with the dried flowers, if you would like to do so; and if your dried flowers have sentimental value, definitely keep them!

I think an tall corner bookcase would be great—especially filled with interesting art objects. And interior lighting.

Yes to both of Patricia’s suggestions - rotate rug and add a tree.

Some overall ideas, if interested. To create a more balanced room and solve that corner! suggest centering (rug, coffee table and chairs to the window). Add your small table in between and still use its lovely bowl. Test if rug placed vertically or horizontally looks better.

Less can be more…I’d remove the small framed picture so the large art can be centered over the console.

The console‘s and coffee table’s accessories could be improved and is an inexpensive way to add to a room.

Clay and wood would tie in with your chairs.

Here is one option.

I specified each piece in the room. My original sketch shows where AI took some liberties with the art but I did ask it to remove all misc. items and I added the blue lamp and tree and table decor so it did a good job.

Karin, I agree with adding some greenery. The furniture, colors, and dried flowers give me an organic modern feel. I think a plant always adds to that. You could do a floor plant but there are also so many cool hanging plants that would help fill the corner.

I substituted the sconce in my rendering with the blue table lamp to avoid installation.

Yes, saw that . The sconce was pretty too. I can always do a sconce with a battery light bulb (no wiring needed).

Our living room furniture is neutral but with a teal easy chair. It looks nice.
