do you need window treatments on all those windows (privacy? light control?) ... or is it mainly aesthetic

Thank you both for responding. Brenda, the ones in the master are for privacy as the bedroom faces the front of our house. I would say the others are for aesthetics.

I'm sure you have long since decided on what to do for these windows, but my suggestion would be Plantation Shutters in a white that matches your pre existing trimwork.

Why not run some lovely drapes from ceiling to floor in LR and Dr on a simple rod in a lovely faux or real silk with maybe a stripe. In the bedroom take the covering off the 1/2 circle and hang very soft drapes wall to wall at the same level they are now. Take those things off the kitchen windows and see if you really want anything on them and just as an aside I would take most of the stuff off the top of the cabinets maybe one colorful piece would be enough.The pic is of a fabric for drapes but I would probably like to see the blue be a little less.
