inviting friends to view my idea books

it appears that the "invite friends" tab is just for inviting someone to the sight but still they don't have access to my idea books. I want my designer to help with ideas from my idea books. Do i open an indiv book and then send and invite? We have been trying for a couple of weeks and I can't seem to connect her to my books.

Yes, you have to go into each Ideabook and click Collaborate in order to invite your friends to view your Ideabooks.
