My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Dumbwaiters are not inexpensive to install. There are several manufacturers that have different units for different applications. Here in Oregon we had to have a commercial elevator license too. That added cost because of the safety requirements but in my opinion you need that on any device that moves to protect kids, pets, etc. For just the unit I believe we were around $14K installed by us and others. There was special framing and fire codes that we had to adhere to also. Then we had all of the finish and custom cabinets that added more cost for the finished product.
