Although our empty nester clients were still enjoying their custom home they had lived in for nearly 30 years, they had outgrown their once state-of-the-art 1980s master bathroom.
Our master bathroom facelift transformed a bathroom with carpet, wallpaper, glass block tiles, and a 30 year old Jacuzzi. It transformed into a clean lined, yet warm and inviting space that still worked with the home’s contemporary architecture. Our selections started with a natural stone for the vanity, and selecting Sapele wood cabinetry for both it’s textured lines and color qualities. Our next step was our hardware and fittings – knowing we wanted both function and visual appeal.
We relocated the double vanities at the center of the room, and installed the shower on the other side of the wall creating a circular passage for flow. The integrated sinks make a statement at the vanity – as well as the large apron of stone surrounding the face of the cabinetry. Wall mount faucets, and matte textured tile running vertically complete the look.
The free-standing vessel tub leaves a lasting impression against the windows. Corner cabinetry and shelves add both storage and visual appeal. Tucked in the corner an upholstered bench, yet more storage and built in jewelry organization.
Large format porcelain floor tiles were installed with a smooth skimstone application on the shower floor. Amenities and special touches in the bathroom include radiant heating, LED lighting under the cabinets and behind the vanity mirrors, a large format thermostat controlled towel bar, a linear drain in the shower, and a wall mounted energy efficient toilet.

Inspiration for a large contemporary l-shaped medium tone wood floor and brown floor eat-in kitchen remodel in Portland Maine with an undermount sink, flat-panel cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island, white countertops and stone slab backsplash
Find the right local pro for your project

A gorgeous contemporary kitchen design was created by deleting the range, microwave and incorporating a cooktop, under counter oven and hood. The microwave was relocated and an under counter microwave was incorporated into the design. These appliances were moved to balance the design and create a perfect symmetry. The washer & dryer were incorporated within the cabinetry so they would not invade the visual appeal. Products used were Poggenpohl High Gloss Cubanit with automated horizontal bi-fold uppers. Slim line handles was used on the cabinetry to maintain the minimalistic design. A large island designed to create a bold yet appealing horizontal design. Quartz tops were used.
The Final results of a gorgeous kitchen

Underdecking porch. Atlanta Curb Appeal also added some visual panache by dressing up the columns, screen frames, and posts with cedar. Cedar is truly a gorgeous choice for decks. Wood stains were also applied to increase durability and to add color. It’s fun to have options! The flooring that was chosen for this new East Cobb deck and porch was also cedar. While most people choose pressure-treated pine in the South for savings, the cedar is a beautiful wood that allows the deck to smell and look fabulous! It’s worth it if it’s in the budget!

Huge elegant light wood floor and beige floor foyer photo in Austin with white walls and a black front door

The objective was to create a warm neutral space to later customize to a specific colour palate/preference of the end user for this new construction home being built to sell. A high-end contemporary feel was requested to attract buyers in the area. An impressive kitchen that exuded high class and made an impact on guests as they entered the home, without being overbearing. The space offers an appealing open floorplan conducive to entertaining with indoor-outdoor flow.
Due to the spec nature of this house, the home had to remain appealing to the builder, while keeping a broad audience of potential buyers in mind. The challenge lay in creating a unique look, with visually interesting materials and finishes, while not being so unique that potential owners couldn’t envision making it their own. The focus on key elements elevates the look, while other features blend and offer support to these striking components. As the home was built for sale, profitability was important; materials were sourced at best value, while retaining high-end appeal. Adaptations to the home’s original design plan improve flow and usability within the kitchen-greatroom. The client desired a rich dark finish. The chosen colours tie the kitchen to the rest of the home (creating unity as combination, colours and materials, is repeated throughout).

Philippe Starck's iconic Louis XV style armchair is the quintessence of baroque. Designed for Kartell, Louis Ghost's polycarbonate form excites and captivates.
Philippe Starck's comfortable Louis XV style armchair is the quintessence of baroque revisited to dazzle, excite and captivate. Louis Ghost is the most daring example in the world of injected polycarbonate in a single mould, available in transparent and coloured polycarbonate. Despite its evanescent and crystalline appearance, Louis Ghost is stable and durable, shock and weather resistant and can also be stacked six high. This article has great charm and considerable visual appeal and brings a touch of elegance and irony to any style of home or public area.
