This is an older house in Rice University that needed an updated master bathroom. The original shower was only 36" x 36". Spa Bath Renovation Spring 2014, Design and build. We moved the tub, shower and toilet to different locations to make the bathroom look more organized. We used pure white Caeserstone countertops, Hansgrohe Metris faucet, glass mosaic tile (Daltile - City Lights), stand silver 12 x 24 porcelain floor cut into 4 x 24 strips to make the chevron pattern on the floor, shower glass panel, shower niche, rain shower head, wet bath floating tub. Custom cabinets in a grey stain with mirror doors and circle overlays. The tower in center features charging station for toothbrushes, iPADs, and cell phones. Spacious Spa Bath. TV in bathroom, large chandelier in bathroom. Half circle cabinet doors with mirrors. Anther chandelier in a master bathroom. This secondary staircase and mud area highlighted with wool carpet by Kane. The bench seating is lined with stained bead board creating a warm entrance from the carriage house.

This white kitchen is grounded by the dark espresso island. Carrara marble island with wine storage on the side create a beautiful contrast to the white cabinets with the silestone grey countertops and herringbone backsplash tile. This kithchen renovation included the removal of a load bearing wall to open it up and make it feel bright and airy.

Love the variation in this tile from Sonoma tileworks! This client wanted a warm kitchen without any gray. The countertops have a warm veining pattern to go with the brown wood tones and we added some rustic/industrial details to make it feel like the client's mountain cabin.

About these photos: The cabinetry is Mastro Rosolino- our private line of cabinets. The cabinets on the perimeter are painted white, the island is walnut with a stain & glaze. The tops are Honed Dandy Marble by Stone Surfaces in East Rutherford, NJ. The backsplash is "MOS" pattern "Manilla" in marble, the butler's pantry is "art" antiqued mirror in diamond pattern with brushed nickel rosettes overlaid at the corners. The mosaic rug above the stove is calacatta oro, timber grey & lagos blue. Tile by Stratta Tile in Wyckoff, NJ. The flooring was handled by the home owner, it is a hardwood with a medium/dark stain. The appliances are: Sub-Zero BI36R/O & BI36F/O, Wolf 48" Range DF486G, Wolf 30" DO30F/S, Miele DW, GE ZEM200SF microwave, Wolf 30" warming drawer, Sub-Zero 27" warming drawers. The main sink is a 30" Rohl Farm Sink. All lighting fixtures, chairs, other items in the kitchen were purchased separately by the home owner so we have no information on file! Inspiration for a mid-sized timeless medium tone wood floor and brown floor home office library remodel in Salt Lake City with brown walls and no fireplace

Tying multiple floors together using 6”x36” dark grey wood-looking tile, laid on a staggered patterned worked well with the tile and concrete floors next to it. Two-toned cabinetry of wired brushed hickory with a grey stain wash, combined with maple wood in a dark slate finish is a current trend. Counter tops: combination of splashy granite and white Caesarstone grounded the display. A custom-designed table of ash wood, with heavy distressing and grey washed stain added warmth. Show custom features: Arched glass door cabinets with crown moulding to match. Unique Features: drawer in drawer for pot lids, pull out drawer in toe kick for dog dishes, toe space step stool, swing up mixer shelf, pull out spice storage. Built in Banquette seating with table and docking station for family meals and working. Custom open shelves and wine rack with detailed legs anchor the three sides of the island. Backsplash rail with spice rack, knife and utensil holder add more storage space. A floating soffit matches the shape of island and helps lower the showroom ceiling height to what would be found in a normal home. It includes: pendant lights for the snack bar, chandelier for the table and recess for task lights over the sink. The large triangular shaped island has eleven foot legs. It fills the unusual space and creates three separate areas: a work space, snack bar/room divider and table area.

The kitchen, butler’s pantry, and laundry room uses Arbor Mills cabinetry and quartz counter tops. Wide plank flooring is installed to bring in an early world feel. Encaustic tiles and black iron hardware were used throughout. The butler’s pantry has polished brass latches and cup pulls which shine brightly on black painted cabinets. Across from the laundry room the fully custom mudroom wall was built around a salvaged 4” thick seat stained to match the laundry room cabinets.
