We developed a design that fully met the desires of a spacious, airy, light filled home incorporating Universal Design features that blend seamlessly adding beauty to the Minimalist Scandinavian concept.

There’s nothing as wonderful as walking into a mid-century gem with clients who love the character of their new home. Our goal for this project was to incorporate the mid-century bones of this home into a new design that would better meet the contemporary needs of our clients. We started by taking down the walls that had separated this kitchen from the rest of the home and creating a welcoming space that blended seamlessly with the new open concept. The new kitchen design was a win for our clients with increased storage, more work surfaces, and a peninsula with plenty of seating. We utilized wood finishes through out this space with light wood flooring, medium-tones on the cabinetry, and darker wood accents throughout giving us a beautiful balance and a calm backdrop. This home had beautiful horizontal lines that we wanted to accentuate, so we selected a dark wood finish for the central beam and tied it in with the dark finish on the wood fireplace mantel and the stair handrail to emphasize the horizontal features. But we never miss an opportunity for a fun mid-century pop, and this home provided plenty of inspiration! The boomerang hardware on the cabinets and escher backsplash tiles give us great geometric elements to break up the clean lines of the rest of the space. One of our favorite features of this home was the original plaster ceilings with the custom hand troweled texture. We knew from the beginning that this was an element we wanted to maintain and accentuate, so when we opened up the kitchen and added recessed lighting we reached out to a local plaster artisan to carry the texture throughout the space, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. This design brings together the mid-century aesthetics of clean lines and fun patterns with the modern-day functionality our clients were looking for in their new kitchen.

In this beautifully restored home featured on HGTV’s Restored with Brett Waterman, every detail was chosen to honor the property's historic roots, including the registers. Reggio Registers in Oil-Rubbed Bronze, crafted from steel, deliver both timeless elegance and durability. Set against rich wood tones and classic finishes, the registers blend seamlessly into the home’s architecture while quietly elevating its functionality. Strolling along the east side of the property, opposite from the garden, one will encounter a new footbridge of Corten steel, spanning over the existing stream that bisects the property. While the owners liked their original home and loved its location, they were in need of additional space and custom touches for their active family. Through our X-Act 3D Design we were able to show them what their home could be! They loved the new plan that added a cozy porch with fireplace, custom built-in bunk room with bath, huge activities court with golf simulator overlooked by a custom bar up top, and another ensuite with a great view — all blended seamlessly into their original home! We delivered on the plan and now they are ready for a quick game of hoops, extended family stays, and entertaining! What an incredible transformation!

Some backyards start with potential but need a complete transformation to reach their full beauty. That was the case with our recent customers in Southlake. What began as a simple covered patio original to the home was reimagined into a luxurious outdoor oasis that is now perfect for year-round enjoyment. We designed and built two custom Patio Covers to maximize the poolside space. One extended the original covered patio to give the homeowners more room to relax and entertain. The second created a large, shaded retreat in front of the home’s sliding doors, blending seamlessly into the design while providing much-needed coverage. Within the new expanded patio space, we added a full Outdoor Kitchen complete with everything needed for cooking and entertaining outdoors. To make the poolside space even more inviting, we built a stunning Fire Pit poolside that creates a natural gathering spot by the water for evenings with family and friends. Electrical was installed for overhead heaters so the patio can be enjoyed comfortably no matter the season. As a finishing touch, we installed Coolcrete concrete around the pool area to tie everything together with both beauty and functionality.

Adera noted that this build focused on West Coast architecture and design rooted in customers’ lifestyle and ideals. They added that the buildings blend seamlessly with natural, serene surrounding on shores of active salmon spawning creek. Adera explained that the modern design expands size, function, productivity, and entertainment value of core kitchen.

Rustic Lake Cottage Transformation This charming lake cottage was completely reimagined, building up from the existing structure to create a fully functional yet spacious vacation home. The interior was entirely gutted, the ceiling removed, and a loft was added, enhancing both height and openness. Though compact, the home feels airy and inviting, with a carefully planned layout that includes three small bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, a walk-in pantry, a mudroom, and a full bath featuring a barrier-free shower and a standalone tub. The rustic design is brought to life with stained natural wood plank floors and ceilings, while the walls are clad in painted wood planks for a warm yet bright aesthetic. The cathedral ceiling in the living room, bathroom, and loft bedroom adds a sense of grandeur, complemented by exposed beams that enhance the rustic charm. The open staircase with steel bar railings and open risers maintains sightlines, ensuring the space remains visually connected. A step-down dining room features built-in storage and a TV, making efficient use of space. The gray-painted kitchen cabinets, paired with granite countertops, blend seamlessly into the great room, while a walk-in pantry provides additional storage. Compact appliances and leather furniture further optimize the home’s footprint. Custom barn doors throughout the home serve as both functional and decorative elements, concealing the coat closet, washer/dryer closet, and bedrooms. Expansive new windows flood the space with natural light, offering picturesque lake views. On a corner lot in the sought after Preston Hollow area of Dallas, this 4,500sf modern home was designed to connect the indoors to the outdoors while maintaining privacy. Stacked stone, stucco and shiplap mahogany siding adorn the exterior, while a cool neutral palette blends seamlessly to multiple outdoor gardens and patios.
