This 3,200 square foot Bainbridge Island house is designed for a young family that will commonly have extended stay guests. The house was designed with the concept of a series of living pavilions. Each pavilion takes in different views of the acreage beyond. The main pavilion houses the great room and children’s bedrooms above. The west pavilion houses a discrete guest suite. The north pavilion includes the utility and family rooms on the main floor and master suite on the second.
The house is located along the grade that parallels the path of the sun. This prompted the development of the design to be rather thin in the north-south dimension which, in-turn allows for the most amount of daylight to be garnered by the interior of the building as possible.
The project included a detached garage which houses an office space that bridges the parking bays below.

Featured in this image is the Emma Crate, finished in mahogany wood with geometric designs. The Emma Crate functions both as an elegant end table and a comfortable, safe place for your furry friend to rest when you're out. With its classic design accented by the circular patterns, it is an unobtrusive option for stowing your pets.

We wanted to keep the porch minimal from a cost and maintenance standpoint, so we used Trex decking for the flooring. The clients now have a screened-in porch where they can enjoy the Minnesota weather without being bothered by the unofficial Minnesota state bird (mosquitos)!

The new-construction house in Bethesda, Maryland, had lovely millwork, including coffered ceilings, wainscoting, crown moldings and tall baseboards. But it lacked our clients' personality and style that reflected their Southern roots and love of coastal settings. We incorporated elements like wallpaper, paint and furnishings and without having to remodel, which made a huge transformation for this home and family of six. There is a varying but also consistent blue and white theme throughout the home from navy to slate, interspersed with cheerful patterns through the throw pillows and accent fabrics, as well as bold colors in the drapery and custom sitting room built-ins. There are also coastal vibes make an appearance through several paintings, woven grass shade, jute area rugs, and driftwood finishes, to create a light and breezy organic feel.

We were tasked with transforming a modest ranch home into a house full of personality that reflected the owner's Asian roots and Hawaiian upbringing.

As the primary bathroom used by guests in the household, it was important to redesign the space to flow with their new kitchen, dining, and family rooms. By simply updating the cabinetry, materials, and fixtures in this guest bathroom we were able to create a modern yet welcoming retreat for both guests and family.

These azure blue ceramic pots are truly gorgeous with their color and textural details. The overflowing artificial outdoor greenery and flowers are custom designed to complement the pots. All of the beauty, none of the bother.

We converted a former walk-in closet into a laundry room. The original home was built in the early 1920s. The laundry room was outside in the detached 1920's dark and dank garage. The new space is about eight feet square. In the corner is an 80 gallon tank specifically designed to receive water heated via a roof-mounted solar panel. The tank has inputs for the loop to the solar panel, plus a cold water inlet and hot water outlet. It also has an inlet at the bottom for a circulating pump that quickly distributes hot water to the bathrooms and kitchen so we don't waste water waiting for hot water to arrive. We have the circulating pump on a timer so it runs in the morning, at midday and in the evening for about a half an hour each time. It has a manual on switch if we need to use hot water at other times. I built an 8" high wood platform so the front loading washer and dryer are at a comfortable height for loading and unloading while leaving the tops low enough to use for staging laundry. We installed a waterproofing system under the floor and a floor drain both for easy clean-up and in case a water line ever breaks. The granite is a very unusual color that we selected for our master bathroom (listed as a separate project). We had enough in the slab to do the bathroom and the laundry room counters and back-splashes. The end cabinet pulls out for easy access to detergent and dryer sheets. The sink is a ten inch deep drop-in that doubles as a dog-wash station for our small dogs.

This waterfront custom home in Delta was designed to give a bright open feel and take advantage of the beautiful water views. A light, bright almost beachy feel was brought into the space by use of bright whites, with hints of natural greys and neutrals. Pops of colour were used on furniture pieces. Complete with chef’s kitchen and large patio doors out to the stamped concrete back patio, this home was built for entertaining. Large gatherings can easily flow out onto the patio which includes a hot tub, gas fire pit and low maintenance artificial turf. The master ensuite boasts a large walk in shower, spacious dark wood double vanity and the bedroom with an oversized window, has a fantastic view of the ocean. A home that feels makes you feel like you are on vacation- everyday!
