The owner said "any color but white" for her farmhouse kitchen country kitchen. Earthy and elemental materials are selected for the home that reference the barn without directly mimicking it. Wooden members found inside the barn and from other barns bridge ceilings and are used in floors along with rustic slate adding to a sense of simplicity to the farmhouse design.

while a bit unorthodox, the new owners of this recent brownstone condo conversion wanted to combine two modest bathrooms to create one larger space with a cohesive, modern feel. wood elements combine with a wood textured tile to give warmth to the space, while introducing a cohesive design palette that is at once modern and timeless.

Portabella stained bamboo base cabinets and island with crystal white wall cabinets provide the backdrop for this modern kitchen. The slab doors, floating shelves and square lines contribute to the minimalist design. A geometric pattern backsplash adds depth to the space while solid white quartz countertops pulls the look together. Finishing touches include a custom range hood with a brushed nickel skirt and brushed nickel hardware.

This bathroom is found in the basement of the house. With low ceilings and no windows, the designer was able to add some life to this room through his design. We created a light fixture (based on Lindsay Adelman's You Make It) and had it plated copper to coordinate with the lovely copper chairs. Both metal pieces were not sealed and allow the natural patina and fingerprints to add interesting texture and warmth.
