Living room - transitional medium tone wood floor living room idea in New York with beige walls

The boy's room in this single family home includes boyish striped bedding that appeals to multiple ages, and incorporates a vintage feel with the artwork, accent pillow, clock and lamp. The showstopper in this room is the chalkboard paint, swathed between two squared white trim pieces, which we further enhanced by drawing a dotted line implying that the car was in fact driving around the room. Part of our award-winning model home design in Winslow, New Jersey.

A custom oil-rubbed bronze hood was designed to create a striking focal point upon entering the room. The white pillowed edge subway tile gives dimension and texture to the space and blends seamlessly with the white beaded inset cabinets. The dark granite countertop on white perimeter cabinets gives this kitchen a traditional feel, but by installing a light quartz countertop on the dark cherry island a contemporary flair is added to the space. This allows for an overall transitional design.

In order to create a balanced feel to the room, a coffee station sits between a 27” Subzero paneled refrigerator on the one side and a 27” Subzero paneled freezer on the other. For additional cold storage, integrated refrigerator drawers were installed in the base cabinet below this coffee station to hold an assortment of beverages. The white inset cabinetry continues into a mud-room area complete with cubbies and lockers for each member of the family. A GE spacesaver stainless microwave was installed in the island and a 36” six-burner Wolfe range was added to this top-of-the-line appliance list allowing for a professional experience while cooking in this kitchen.

A baby boy’s nursery we designed has both plenty of functional and comfortable features. Through plenty of soft textiles - cushions, chairs, and blankets - we gave the space a calming ambiance with plenty of neutral greys and pops of soft blues. For a timeless look, we installed classic wall panels, which showcase a fun, eye-popping contrast between the panel outline and wall. An upholstered storage bench was also installed, ensuring easy clean-up of toys and other accessories, as well as an extra place to sit and play with the baby boy. Home located in Studio City, California. Project designed by Miami interior design firm, Charles Neal Interiors. They serve nationwide, with much activity in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach, as well as Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta.
