We reconfigured this kitchen - removing a wall - to allow for a large island for entertaining. With two young children, durability was key. We chose Brownstone stools customized with performance fabric on the back to introduce a bit of pattern and wipeable faux leather seats. The backsplash over range is a single slab of Eureka Danby from Vermont's Dorsett Mountain, which wipes down easily. The Lostine pendants and sconces introduce a smidge of midcentury vibes. The tongue and groove backsplash and soapstone counters provide a quaint farmhouse feel; and we chose the fabric for the roman shade from a Parisian fabric house, Antoinette Poisson, which specializes in 18th century pattern designs, to add a bit of history.

A growing family, a rambling Georgian estate. The question: how to imbue tradition with a fresh spirit? The charge was to maintain the idea of old school charm without the interior feeling just… old. An illustration could be found in picture molding (which we added, then painted to disappear into the walls) or a modern plaster sculpture teetering upon an old barrister bookcase. A contemporary "Pretty in Pink" bedroom for any girl of any age. The soft, matte blush pink custom accent wall adorned with antique, mercury glass to elevate the room. One can't help but take in the small understated details with the luxurious fabrics on the accent pillows and the signature art to compliment the room.

The desk area was also done in the same grey stained oak, with a clean floating design to maximize seating space and create an open feel. Echoing the same modern classic feel, we chose a wood frame bed in a grayish wood tone and paired that with medium brown nightstands and a dresser with antique brass details. A dark wood framed bench with beige upholstery sits at the end of the bed. Table lamps made of stone and with brass details, provided just the right touch of sophistication to the space. Matching that is a unique brass chandelier. A dark framed mirror with brass accents is placed above the dresser to provide visual appeal and to give lightness to the space. Finally, an area rug with classical elements gives added warmth to the space.

Silver, faux finished walls with bronze flecks perfectly summarize the balance of warm and cool in this glamorous, transitional dining room. Adorning the walls are three custom pieces of artwork mounted in gold and bronze frames. At the center of the room hangs a modern glass chandelier above a pedestal table stained in a high gloss espresso. Ivory, tufted leather chairs surround the table and rest atop a wool rug in a mélange of copper. Hand painted bronze detailing borders the metallic silver ceiling and complements the embroidery of the geometric patterned ivory draperies. Grounding the room are warm stained hardwood floors.
