The goal for the foyer was to deliver a true “wow factor” the moment you step through the door. We selected a bold tropical-inspired wallpaper that set the tone for the home—fun, vibrant, and masculine. This high-energy backdrop was balanced with existing architectural features while introducing key updates for impact. We kept the client’s console table but paired it with a statement mirror that echoes the organic movement of the wallpaper, ensuring cohesion. The chandelier was chosen for its multidimensional glass tones, playing beautifully against the wallpaper and tying together surrounding finishes. A natural jute rug grounds the space, complementing the existing hardwood floors with warmth and texture. The stairs were refreshed with a patterned carpet that coordinates seamlessly with the upstairs hallway. Updated railings—painted posts with stained tops and iron balusters—elevate the overall look. For function, we designed a custom built-in baby gate that blends effortlessly with the updated railings, a perfect solution for a growing family. To extend the design story, the hallway carries coordinating vinyl grasscloth wallpaper, adding depth and texture without overwhelming the space.

Floor-to-ceiling drapery in a soft blue and cream botanical print frames expansive windows, filling the living room with natural light while adding depth and sophistication. The tailored pleated panels, finished with a tassel trim detail and hung from custom French return rod and rings, bring a refined elegance to the space while remaining approachable and inviting. In the inviting kitchen, custom-tailored Roman shades and seat cushions provide a refined yet welcoming layer of comfort and style. The Roman shades, feature a fabric that complements the room’s palette and coordinates with the adjacent living room draperies. Coordinating seat cushions on the barstools are expertly upholstered for both durability and comfort, adding softness to the sleek seating. In the cheerful and highly functional laundry and mudroom, custom soft furnishings bring both comfort and personality. The built-in bench features a tailored cushion upholstered in a fresh blue geometric print, edged with piping for a polished finish—perfect for a quick seat while slipping on shoes or folding laundry. We introduced architectural warmth with exposed wood beams and new white oak hardwood flooring to brighten and expand the main living areas. Larger windows were incorporated to maximize natural light, supported by custom glasswork and a thoughtfully planned electrical and lighting approach. A custom stone surround for the electric fireplace became a central feature - balancing elegance and comfort. The kitchen was fully redesigned with coordinated wood tones and stone surfaces to create a cohesive palette throughout. For the primary suite, we created a calm retreat inspired by the feel of a boutique Parisian hotel, paired with a spa-like bathroom featuring dramatic black stone slabs and a freestanding tub for a timeless, elevated finish.

This guest bath has a light and airy feel with an organic element and pop of color. The custom vanity is in a midtown jade aqua-green PPG paint Holy Glen. It provides ample storage while giving contrast to the white and brass elements. A playful use of mixed metal finishes gives the bathroom an up-dated look. The 3 light sconce is gold and black with glass globes that tie the gold cross handle plumbing fixtures and matte black hardware and bathroom accessories together. The quartz countertop has gold veining that adds additional warmth to the space. The acacia wood framed mirror with a natural interior edge gives the bathroom an organic warm feel that carries into the curb-less shower through the use of warn toned river rock. White subway tile in an offset pattern is used on all three walls in the shower and carried over to the vanity backsplash. The shower has a tall niche with quartz shelves providing lots of space for storing shower necessities. The river rock from the shower floor is carried to the back of the niche to add visual interest to the white subway shower wall as well as a black Schluter edge detail. The shower has a frameless glass rolling shower door with matte black hardware to give the this smaller bathroom an open feel and allow the natural light in. There is a gold handheld shower fixture with a cross handle detail that looks amazing against the white subway tile wall. This Master Bathroom was outdated in appearance and although the size of the room was sufficient, the space felt crowded. The toilet location was undesirable, the shower was cramped and the bathroom floor was cold to stand on. The client wanted a new configuration that would eliminate the corner tub, but still have a bathtub in the room, plus a larger shower and more privacy to the toilet area. The 1980’s look needed to be replaced with a clean, contemporary look. A new room layout created a more functional space. A separated space was achieved for the toilet by relocating it and adding a cabinet and custom hanging pipe shelf above for privacy. By adding a double sink vanity, we gained valuable floor space to still have a soaking tub and larger shower. In-floor heat keeps the room cozy and warm all year long. The entry door was replaced with a pocket door to keep the area in front of the vanity unobstructed. The cabinet next to the toilet has sliding doors and adds storage for towels and toiletries and the vanity has a pull-out hair station. Rich, walnut cabinetry is accented nicely with the soft, blue/green color palette of the tiles and wall color. New window shades that can be lifted from the bottom or top are ideal if they want full light or an unobstructed view, while maintaining privacy. Handcrafted swirl pendants illuminate the vanity and are made from 100% recycled glass.
