Large elegant galley dark wood floor and brown floor eat-in kitchen photo in Chicago with a farmhouse sink, raised-panel cabinets, gray cabinets, quartzite countertops, gray backsplash, subway tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and an island

The cabinets in this kitchen are flat panel MDF doors in a silk finish with Neff aluminum steel drawer boxes. Cabinets are American Apple, natural horizontal open-grain finish. The counter top is a pure white Caesarstone with a A4500 edged waterfall island. The floors are reclaimed beech antique engineered hardwood. The stove is a 24 inch wide Oven Tower Miele with a 48 inch range. 48 inch Sub-Zero refrigerator.

This great room is filled with natural light all day long with windows all across the back from Western Window Systems. It is the perfect gathering place for cooking, dining or just relaxing. The kitchen and dining room are perfect for entertaining. We repurposed the old grey island countertop which is now the dining table and added a tulip base to maximize how many people can sit around it. A new waterfall island and matching backsplash have dramatic veins that pick up on the kitchen cabinets and floor.

Located in the historic neighborhood of Laurelhurst in Portland, Oregon, this kitchen blends the necessary touches of traditional style with contemporary convenience.
