The washer and dryer were stacked and placed next to a tall pantry cabinet. Medium grey painted cabinets were selected and paired with black and white cement tile. Base cabinets were added under the window for additional overflow storage. A custom made barn door conceals the laundry room when the family entertains. Frosted glass panels allows the light from the window to filter into the hallway when the door is closed.

This home’s kitchen isn’t large and needed to somehow hold a mudroom area as the detached garage enters into the space. I carefully planned out all storage needs and we were able to add a wide, double door cabinet closet by the back door. The upper area holds coats and clutter. The lower doors have hooks and boot trays for backpacks and shoes. Paneling the Subzero fridge helps with softening the weight of the large appliance, as does the panel on the dishwasher. Little details like the skirt on the toe area and the beautiful hood and island posts make this smaller work space truly special!

In this kitchen, the blue base cabinets pack a punch of color, while the white uppers and backsplash create a light and airy space that looks bigger than the actual square footage. These floating shelves (stained to compliment the flooring) were designed display the clients beautiful handmade ceramic collection.

The mudroom serves as the home's hub to get in and out the door. The custom lockers offer a spot to stash coats, backpacks, and other out-the-door essentials. This washroom has so many creative elements: a medicine cabinet that doubles as art, frosted aqua glass, counter tops, aqua blue mosaic glass tile in the shower, and honey coloured, white oak to keep the space warm and inviting. This washroom also houses a hidden laundry room that disappears into the decor of the washroom.

Bedroom cupboards was painted in white and hew handles were installed to transform old tired cupboards to new contemporary cupboards.
