Black and tan are such an elegant color palette. It was a perfect finishing touch for this masculine 3/4 bathroom remodel. We modified this 1950's bathroom to allow entry from 2 rooms. Since we were working with a narrow, slim space we were limited for sink counter depth. The option was to use a very narrow wall mount sink, 12" max or have something custom made. In the long run, the custom counter was the way to go. This allows a lot of counter space and storage and still leaves plenty of access to the shower.

A young family moving from NYC to their first home in Westchester County found this pre-war colonial in Larchmont New York in need of a serious overhaul. After a complete gut job and rework of the entire home, they created a compact, vibrantly colorful kitchen open to the family room. o A nautical indigo color was chosen for the island and tall storage cabinets, with a subtle warm gray on the perimeter o Natural walnut shelving and countertop on the peninsula evoke a mid-century vibe which relates to other vintage furniture pieces in the home o Colorful cement tiles were carried all the way up the counters to inject pattern and whimsy o Brass fixtures and hardware strike a handsome contrast with the deep indigo color scheme. With this kitchen we wanted to keep it light, bright and beachy. So we used a beadboard cabinet on the bottom but left a simple shaker on top to keep from becoming overwhelming. We added a lot of glass features to make it look large and open. We installed a large bay window to supply even more outdoor light and last but not least used a gorgeous ocean looking granite to really tie in that beachy feeling.

This fun classic kitchen in Gold River features Columbia frameless cabinets in Sandy Hook grey. A green glass backsplash in a random matte and polished pattern complements the cabinets which are faced with both painted wood and frosted glass. In this kitchen, we updated the existing cabinets with new 3cm Cambria Canterbury Quartz countertops with a matching pass-through sill. A new Blanco Diamond double bowl sink in biscotti with Brizo single handle pull out faucet with Brilliance Brushed Bronze finish were installed. For the backsplash 3x6 Eternal Limestone in Jura Beige with SA60 Butternut Emperador linear mosaic tile and Xexon undercounter lighting.

For three years this Westlake Village couple lived in a house that didn't quite fit their needs. With frequent houseguests staying for weeks at a time, the family needed more space, particularly in the cramped kitchen. So began their search for a new home.
