This is the second home on this street that we have had the pleasure of modernizing. This home still had the original kitchen, bath and floor-plan and was in desperate need of an update. The homeowners worked with Susan Yeley Interiors to come up with a design that was fresh, while maintaining the integrity of the original design of the home. This remodel included opening up the kitchen into the adjacent spaces, reconfiguring all of the bathrooms and laundry room, and replacing all of the flooring in the home. We are so pleased with how it all came together!

This 100-year-old stone house was in desperate need of love and attention, and it got it! We gutted the kitchen, installed new windows and drywall. Once a finishing school for girls this expansive Victorian had a kitchen in desperate need of updating. The new owners wanted something cheerful, that picked up on the details of the original home, and yet they wanted it to honor their more modern lifestyle.

This kitchen junk drawer was a mix of everything—pens, tape, tools, and random items crammed into mismatched sections. With things constantly shifting around, it was hard to find anything when needed. This drawer was in desperate need of order and functionality!

There are a lot of people that are at their wits end when it comes to the amount of space that they have in their Odenton home, they always seem cramped and often times are desperate for a solution. Instead of selling your current home, why not consider the benefits of Odenton room additions.

This front yard was in desperate need of a little curb appeal and we were up to the challenge! Wanting a unique look, we put a twist on the classic front stoop and walkway design by adding more patio space, an inset circle for a portable fire pit, and a seat wall to separate the patio space from the attached driveway.
The patio features Belgard's Laffit Rustic Slab pavers in London Grey with a soldiers course of Holland Stone in Ashbury Haze. The inset circle is comprised of Holland Stone in Bristol Beige. The contrasting colors create a stunning design element. The seat wall and raised flowerbed were built with Weston Wall bricks, also in Ashbury Haze. A simple, elegant, and unique design that would compliment any home.

While a perfectly nice house, the owners felt it lacked life, charm, and presence. Originally built in 1922 the home had been through several paint color changes but nothing that really succeeded in giving it the curb appeal it so desperately needed. On a block where everyone had curb appeal, the owners asked Alair to help them up their game and create some appeal of their own.

This Evanston condo was in desperate need of modernization. We gutted the entire unit and then built out a long and narrow kitchen to keep the rest of the great room spacious.

This bathroom used to be extremely dated, with dark wallpaper and a mirrored wall, it was in desperate need of an update! Now, this space has a clean, modern feel that fits with the rest of the home. The toilet is in a small, separate room connected to this portion of the bathroom to help mornings flow smoothly without sacrificing privacy when nature calls. Our clients also opted for 2 separate vanities to allow plenty of space when preparing for the day.

Over the decades, the kitchen had been remodeled and when our homeowners found this haven, the kitchen was dated and in desperate need of a rejuvenation. The kitchen has new custom summer walnut cabinets, soapstone countertops on the perimeter, and quartzite on the spacious island. Custom-built cubbies for kids' activities adorn the island, complemented by a stunning induction oven.

It was time for a new style for this teenager’s bedroom. She desperately needed more room for clothes while dreaming of a grown-up room with drapes and a velvet bed. Too busy with teen life to focus on working with a designer, her mother offered the general guidelines. Design a room that will transition into young adulthood with furnishings that will be transferable to her apartment in the future. Two must haves: the color “millennial pink” and a hardwood floor!
This dark walk-out basement-bedroom was transformed into a bright, efficient, grown-up room so inviting that it earned the name “precious”!

Our clients had a beautiful but dated family ski home that was in desperate need of a face lift. We did just that. By moving walls, redoing the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and dining area as well as the living room we were able to bring a fresh modern rustic feel to this residence
