We extended their existing space by 12 feet and removed a center column that disrupted the view of lake. We added a wood burning fireplace and revamped their existing outdoor kitchen to give it a fresh look. The ceiling is a 1x6 tongue and groove with an English Porter stain with a clear coat to give it some shine. The flooring is a Versailles pattern travertine to give it a nice finish. We picked up this project in January of 2021 , the homeowner wanted to remodel his kitchen that was built in 1960's to a new modern kitchen, which has the space and the stylish look. Our interior designer took his time to come up with several ideas, one of them was picked. With new cabinets that are light grey and have the slick looks of a professional kitchen that you always see in magazines, a countertop that was cut locally and installed within one day, the light blue backsplash goes well with the shiny polished countertop. A range that looks futuristic does not disrupt the look of the countertop, with the ventilation hood right above it that will allow the most enthusiastic chefs to cook without a worry.

“Best Hot Tubs has great equipment to deliver spas,” adds Bill. “But even I worried a little about the sheer size and weight of this model. But everything worked just great. Our spa dolly got us to the yard. From there we used PVC pipes and set the hot tub on them so it could slide easily across the new Cambridge patio and into its vault location without disrupting anything.”

Marble with chrome Schluter strips interspersed create subtle divisions, enhancing geometry and balance while maintaining a clean, polished look. Reflective metal accents reinforce the modern-classic aesthetic, adding precision and visual structure without disrupting the elegance of the tile.

This Transitional Bath Design was done with Travertine and Cobalt accent glass tile. The strong graphic design was created with accent panels framed with two rows of the cobalt tile. Example of an eclectic living room design in Seattle

This client came to us with a very clear vision of what she wanted, but she needed help to refine and execute the design. At our first meeting she described her style as somewhere between modern rustic and ‘granny chic’ – she likes cozy spaces with nods to the past, but also wanted to blend that with the more contemporary tastes of her husband and children. Functionally, the old layout was less than ideal with an oddly placed 3-sided fireplace and angled island creating traffic jams in and around the kitchen. By creating a U-shaped layout, we clearly defined the chef’s domain and created a circulation path that limits disruptions in the heart of the kitchen. While still an open concept, the black cabinets, bar height counter and change in flooring all add definition to the space. The vintage inspired black and white tile is a nod to the past while the black stainless range and matte black faucet are unmistakably modern. High on our client’s wish list was eliminating upper cabinets and keeping the countertops clear. In order to achieve this, we needed to ensure there was ample room in the base cabinets and reconfigured pantry for items typically stored above. The full height tile backsplash evokes exposed brick and serves as the backdrop for the custom wood-clad hood and decorative brass sconces – a perfect blend of rustic, modern and chic. Black and brass elements are repeated throughout the main floor in new hardware, lighting, and open shelves as well as the owners’ curated collection of family heirlooms and furnishings. In addition to renovating the kitchen, we updated the entire first floor with refinished hardwoods, new paint, wainscoting, wallcovering and beautiful new stained wood doors. Our client had been dreaming and planning this kitchen for 17 years and we’re thrilled we were able to bring it to life.

This stylish above ground family plunge pool is the highlight of this beautiful Balinese-styled backyard. Fully lined with deep-blue glass mosaic tiles and incorporating a wet-edge spill-over wall, the overall look and finish is a wonderful balance of clean lines and complimentary aesthetics. A play ledge for the kids runs the length of the pool, and the ascending steps are finished in Travertine tiles. Unobtrusive glass fencing and Asian-inspired garden plants enhance the visual appeal. This wonderful family plunge pool is very low maintenance, incorporating the convenience of a jet back pool cleaner, as well as the comfort of gas heating for year-round enjoyment. Mini excavators were used to ensure minimal disruption to this small and difficult-to-access site. Construction was also challenging, with a lot of rain during excavation. However, the result has thrilled this family and transformed the backyard into a focal point of relaxation and enjoyment.

Located in Church Hill, Richmond’s oldest neighborhood, this very early 1900s Victorian had tons of historical details, but the house itself had been neglected (badly!). The home had two major renovation periods – one in 1950’s, and then again in the 1980s’s, which covered over or disrupted the original aesthetics of the house (think open ductwork, framing and drywall obscuring the beautiful mantels and moldings, and the hot water heater taking up valuable kitchen space). Our Piperbear team had to “undo” much before we could tackle the restoration of the historical features, while at the same time modernizing the layout.

Originally constructed in the 1700s, this historic building once served as a barn, enduring the test of time for centuries. Today, it has been rejuvenated into an artist's studio, thoughtfully designed by architect Anthony Miksitz, preserving its rich heritage while accommodating a new purpose.
