Updated country French design fits easily in this charming colonial home. The homeowner wanted the room to feel larger without expanding so we vaulted the ceiling. Adding beams and bead board draw attention upwards to allow for the expanded look desired. The crown moldings were remade to accommodate accent lighting and add a more formal feel. The original mantle was refreshed with a custom built over mantle that contain the tv and sound bar. Existing French doors and bookcases were restored and new hardware added.

Three different styles of lighting (recessed, pendant and under-cabinet) keep the kitchen bright and draw attention to the counter tops.

Contemporary. Expansive. Multi-functional. An extensive kitchen renovation was needed to modernize an original design from 1993. Our gut remodel established a seamless new floor plan with two large islands. We lined the perimeter with ample storage and carefully layered creative lighting throughout the space. Contrasting white and walnut cabinets and an oversized copper hood, paired beautifully with a herringbone backsplash and custom live-edge table.

Exterior Painting: Ivory accent trim paint draws attention to the decorative doors on this tuck under garage. The beautiful front porch invites you right inside, doesn't it?

When envisioning their kitchen remodel, it was important to these homeowners that their existing cherry kitchen would be given a facelift in transitional style. Cathy and Ed of Renovisions achieved the owners’ wishes while making sure the kitchen still looked like a natural extension to the rest of their traditional styled home. The update made room for added storage and appliance space. We installed 48” wide cabinetry in a natural cherry finish with roll-out shelves and space to accommodate a microwave and pull-out double trash receptacle. These custom built cherry cabinets and crown molding matched existing cabinets and were within easy reach of the newly installed stainless steel Viking gas range, Zephyr hood and GE hybrid dishwasher.
A large rectangular stainless steel sink was under-mounted on a beautiful new gold granite countertop. An absolute black granite countertop was installed on the new wine/beverage center featuring a U-Line dual-zone wine refrigerator, deep drawers for linens and stem ware holder in natural cherry finish.
A standout feature is the beautifully tiled backsplash cut in with absolute black granite tile and an artful mix of granite/porcelain tile design over the new gas range. This draws attention to the newly remodeled space and brings together all the elements.
The homeowners were tired of the original builders brick surrounding their fireplace hearth and wanted to update to a more formal, elegant look. They chose a solid polished granite material in absolute black.
Outdated no longer, the design details in the kitchen and adjacent family room come together to create a formal yet warm and inviting ambiance with their wish fulfilled. The owners love their newly remodeled spaces.

This renovation/addition transformed a non-descript raised-ranch into a unique island home, better suited to its Vineyard Haven neighborhood on Martha’s Vineyard. A cantilevered bay over the garage draws attention away from the existing front garage doors, while a dormered addition off to the side beckons visitors to the reconfigured entrance. Other small, discreetly placed additions make room for a new stair hall, mudroom, and new full bathroom, while also enlarging the living room, three bedrooms, and the master bath.

A key requirement of this design was to draw attention to various family heirloom pieces by creating several options for display, and oh, how they steal the show in this kitchen, Peeking through the glass fronted cabinets and perched below the crown molding, the combination of the polished look amid a casual gathering place makes for a lovely kitchen.
