This new powder room used to be nothing more than a small closet! Closing off 1 door and opening another created a new 1/2 bathroom to service the guests. The wall mounted toilet with the hidden tank saves a lot of room and makes cleaning an easy task, the vanity is also wall mounted and its only 9" deep! to give the space some life and make it into a fun place to visit the sconce light fixtures on each side of the mirror have a cool rose \ flower design with crazy shadows casted on the wall and the full height tiled toilet wall is made out of small multi colored hex tiles with flower design in them.

After narrowing down their list, our designers visited several prospective homes to determine each property’s potential for our clients’ design vision. Once the home was selected, the Sharer Design Group team began the task of turning the canvas into art. The entire home was transformed from top to bottom into a modern, updated space that met the vision and needs of our clients. The kitchen was updated using custom Sharer Cabinetry with perimeter cabinets painted a custom grey-beige color. The enlarged center island, in a contrasting dark paint color, was designed to allow for additional seating. Gray Quartz countertops, a glass subway tile backsplash and a stainless steel hood and appliances finish the cool, transitional feel of the room. Pauline Hartogh of Wetherly’s Interiors was endowed with the task to create a transitional home for a family of four that melded modern luxury with functionality. She divided the home into three residential wings, all of which are structured in clean, contemporary lines. The heart of the home was created by connecting the indoors to the outdoors using floor-to-ceiling glass, which set an open focus for easy entertainment. The landscape further enhanced the clients’ desire to embrace the indoor/outdoor lifestyle that Florida’s climate offers. Amid warm, tropical landscaping, a Chartes-inspired stone labyrinth provides beauty while also providing a place for meditation and relaxation. An exceptional home calls for exceptional products, and when researching which stone to use, Hartogh went straight for Eldorado Stone. “I feel strongly that the use of Eldorado Stone’s products greatly enriched two of the areas in this project which won design awards,” Hartogh explained. The joints are seamless and the end result is always exactly what she aimed for. Hartogh chose Dry Creek Stacked Stone for the entire exterior, including patio walls and pillars, because not only looks current but also allows her the flexibility to create any design. The use of this product not only helped establish the overall tone for the home but it also allowed for architectural details, which was validated by winning the American Society of Interior Design Award 2013 – Outdoor Living, Single Family Home. Peter Rymwid Photography My young professional clients loved everything about their townhouse on the Hudson except for the cramped, dark, uninviting kitchen. During their frequent dinner parties they were always separated from their guests. Light which filled the rest of the living area never made it into the kitchen. Their most important request in this remodel was to create a bright, contemporary, light filled kitchen where their cooking would take center stage. We started by removing a large portion of the wall separating the kitchen and dining area. This integrated the kitchen into the living space and allowed interaction between cook and guests. Next we removed a side wall to gain more cabinet and countertop space. Existing drop ceilings were removed giving extra height in the wall cabinets. A raised waterfall end eating counter keeps the visual line clean and provides ample counter space for dining or wine tasting. Bright white painted cabinets with recessed panels and a crisp white quartz counter create a bright contemporary space. Blue white and taupe subway tiles made from recycled glass add a feel of waves to the back splash. A coordinating blue paint adds to the beachy vibe of the room. Shiny easy to clean stainless appliances are both functional and attractive especially as they are seen from the entire living area. The new engineered wood flooring was continued up the wall under the eating counter. The material provides a more durable surface than painted sheet rock. Recessed LED ceiling lights and under cabinet lights provide all the task lighting needed to prepare meals while using very little energy. Instead of installing any hanging fixtures which might block the open feeling, smaller can LED lights were installed over the raised counter.

Featuring a GE Advantium convection oven and a Jenn-Aire 36" refrigerator with a bottom freezer. A 30" Wolf four burner gas range is shown with a flanking pan storage and pull out spice rack for the gourmet chef. As 30" Nouveau Pro wall hood features a modern canopy and maintains the rectangular lines throughout the kitchen. The homeowner loves the look of a farmhouse / apron front sink with the clean stainless finish to match the other appliances. A Kohler Verity stainless steel sink was selected with an easy-to-use Kohler gooseneck faucet. Aligning with the homeowner's request for a warmer wood feel, we decided upon maple cabinets in a Praline finish and New Global Exotics Natural Cumaru hardwood flooring extending through the hall to the front entry. The multi colored hardwood floor accentuates the cabinets and adds visual interest through color and contrast. Additional complimentary features are the Volga Blue granite tops, custom glass tile backsplash, new stainless steel appliances and task lighting under all wall cabinets and behind all cabinets with glass doors. Long stainless steel bar pulls and the glass tile were used to emphasize the vertical shift in the kitchen appearance and add an artistic flare.
