Wall Control Pegboard features formed flanges on the sides of each panel to space the pegboard panel face off of the wall so hooks can pass through. These formed flanges make installation easy because they eliminate the need to build a frame work like old, traditional pegboard sheets require. Additionally, these formed flanges create a small space for access to the backside of the panels where things like extension cords and, in this case, LED lights can be threaded through to create a cool effect behind the face of the Wall Control Pegboard. This primary bedroom features a fully custom integrated bed wall designed to orient the room toward expansive exterior views while improving circulation and entry privacy. The millwork structure functions as both architectural divider and storage system. Randomized-width stained wood planks wrap the bed, extend across the ceiling, and conceal closet doors and secondary entries beyond. Integrated nightstand drawers, upholstered headboard panels, pendant lighting, retractable reading lights, lighting controls, outlets, and under-bed night lighting are seamlessly embedded within the assembly. The result is a cohesive architectural installation that connects both end walls of the room while balancing function, privacy, and view alignment.

This residential backyard in Tucson features a perfectly manicured, geometric rectangular artificial grass installation, bordered by a custom concrete paver lawn edging. The vibrant green synthetic turf is embedded within a classic desert landscape featuring reddish-brown decorative gravel, a multi-tiered terraced concrete block retaining wall, and a rustic corrugated metal fence. The clean lines of the modern turf layout contrast beautifully with the natural desert slope, creating a low-maintenance, water-saving outdoor living space designed to withstand high heat while maintaining maximum curb appeal.

This older couple residing in a golf course community wanted to expand their living space and finish up their unfinished basement for entertainment purposes and more. Their wish list included: exercise room, full scale movie theater, fireplace area, guest bedroom, full size master bath suite style, full bar area, entertainment and pool table area, and tray ceiling. After major concrete breaking and running ground plumbing, we used a dead corner of basement near staircase to tuck in bar area. A dual entrance bathroom from guest bedroom and main entertainment area was placed on far wall to create a large uninterrupted main floor area. A custom barn door for closet gives extra floor space to guest bedroom. New movie theater room with multi-level seating, sound panel walls, two rows of recliner seating, 120-inch screen, state of art A/V system, custom pattern carpeting, surround sound & in-speakers, custom molding and trim with fluted columns, custom mahogany theater doors. The bar area includes copper panel ceiling and rope lighting inside tray area, wrapped around cherry cabinets and dark granite top, plenty of stools and decorated with glass backsplash and listed glass cabinets. The main seating area includes a linear fireplace, covered with floor to ceiling ledger stone and an embedded television above it. The new exercise room with two French doors, full mirror walls, a couple storage closets, and rubber floors provide a fully equipped home gym. The unused space under staircase now includes a hidden bookcase for storage and A/V equipment. New bathroom includes fully equipped body sprays, large corner shower, double vanities, and lots of other amenities. Carefully selected trim work, crown molding, tray ceiling, wainscoting, wide plank engineered flooring, matching stairs, and railing, makes this basement remodel the jewel of this community.

Bathroom - transitional bathroom idea in Miami

Engineered cedar siding creates beautiful gray-blue tones at the exterior of the home, while adding a textural element to activate the simple exterior design.

The Mazama house is located in the Methow Valley of Washington State, a secluded mountain valley on the eastern edge of the North Cascades, about 200 miles northeast of Seattle. The house has been carefully placed in a copse of trees at the easterly end of a large meadow. Two major building volumes indicate the house organization. A grounded 2-story bedroom wing anchors a raised living pavilion that is lifted off the ground by a series of exposed steel columns. Seen from the access road, the large meadow in front of the house continues right under the main living space, making the living pavilion into a kind of bridge structure spanning over the meadow grass, with the house touching the ground lightly on six steel columns. The raised floor level provides enhanced views as well as keeping the main living level well above the 3-4 feet of winter snow accumulation that is typical for the upper Methow Valley. To further emphasize the idea of lightness, the exposed wood structure of the living pavilion roof changes pitch along its length, so the roof warps upward at each end. The interior exposed wood beams appear like an unfolding fan as the roof pitch changes. The main interior bearing columns are steel with a tapered “V”-shape, recalling the lightness of a dancer. The house reflects the continuing FINNE investigation into the idea of crafted modernism, with cast bronze inserts at the front door, variegated laser-cut steel railing panels, a curvilinear cast-glass kitchen counter, waterjet-cut aluminum light fixtures, and many custom furniture pieces. The house interior has been designed to be completely integral with the exterior. The living pavilion contains more than twelve pieces of custom furniture and lighting, creating a totality of the designed environment that recalls the idea of Gesamtkunstverk, as seen in the work of Josef Hoffman and the Viennese Secessionist movement in the early 20th century. The house has been designed from the start as a sustainable structure, with 40% higher insulation values than required by code, radiant concrete slab heating, efficient natural ventilation, large amounts of natural lighting, water-conserving plumbing fixtures, and locally sourced materials. Windows have high-performance LowE insulated glazing and are equipped with concealed shades. A radiant hydronic heat system with exposed concrete floors allows lower operating temperatures and higher occupant comfort levels. The concrete slabs conserve heat and provide great warmth and comfort for the feet. Deep roof overhangs, built-in shades and high operating clerestory windows are used to reduce heat gain in summer months. During the winter, the lower sun angle is able to penetrate into living spaces and passively warm the exposed concrete floor. Low VOC paints and stains have been used throughout the house. Located in a redeveloped historic district of downtown Pensacola, "Top of the 9th" is a contemporary residence that integrates historical architectural elements. The design preserves the area’s vernacular by incorporating among other characteristics symmetrical facades, full-height windows, and single-room width volumes. A defining feature is the "whale bone" arches, which encircle the floating main living spaces, referencing Pensacola's maritime heritage. These structural elements are both functional and sculptural, enhancing the home's modern aesthetic while grounding it in local history. Understanding the historic preservation as the best form of sustainability, the house also Incorporates high performance insulated windows, passive solar design techniques for shading, geothermal system for heating and cooling and LED lighting. The house respects its context while standing as an architectural statement, with the design carefully presented to the local architectural review board to ensure compatibility with the surrounding area. It also engages with the public space, offering views of the park and neighborhood. The client’s civic commitment is reflected in plans to contribute public sculptures, further embedding the residence into the community fabric.
