This beautiful master bathroom remodel entailed a few unique changes. This space was remodeled to be handicap accessible. The entrance to the master bath was widen and the dam was removed for easy entry making the shower a complete walk allowing for easy entering. In the shower the bench was elongated and tiled with Marfil 12x12 polishe3d marble tile. In the shower they depressed the drain in order to successfully make the space fully accessible in a wheel chair and installed multiple grab bars. Another feature in the shower was the Hansgrohe Green shower pipe with a rain head and hand shower with a thermostatic mixer and valve trim. Our client requested a design that reflected their need to renovate their dated bathroom into a transitional floor plan that would provide accessibility and function. The new shower design consists of a pony wall with a glass enclosure that has beautiful details of brushed nickel square glass clamps. The interior shower fittings entail geometric lines that lend a contemporary finish. A curbless shower and linear drain added an extra dimension of accessibility to the plan. In addition, a balance bar above the accessory niche was affixed to the wall for extra stability. The shower area also includes a folding teak wood bench seat that also adds to the comfort of the bathroom as well as to the accessibility factors. Improved lighting was created with LED Damp-location rated recessed lighting. LED sconces were also used to flank the Robern medicine cabinet which created realistic and flattering light. Located in Boston’s historic Back Bay, this project entailed the renovation of six apartment units located above a busy commercial space. As a renovation project, the existing apartments were gutted and the floor plans were reconfigured to maximize this prime living space. High end appliances and luxury finishes transformed this rundown apartment building into modern short term rental units.

A double vanity was placed to one wall to allow the placement of the beautiful Danae Free Standing Tub. The seamless Serenity Shower glass enclosure showcases detailed tile work and double Delta Cassidy shower rain cans and trim. An airy, spa-like feel was created by combining white marble style tile, Super White Dolomite vanity top and the Sea Salt Sherwin Williams paint on the walls. Welcome to your new favorite spot in the house! With this showpiece Custom Wine Cellar, why would you ever have a party anywhere else? Complete with an adjacent room with a large tasting table and space to entertain, this homeowner thought of it all! This unique Custom wine room in a gorgeous neighborhood in the La Jolla and Del Mar region in sunny San Diego, California is an art piece in itself surrounded by even more art pieces. The Wine Room Construction entailed unique custom fitted racking, tiering down from about ten feet on one end of the room to just below eight feet on the other. Producing high quality wine racking for a cellar like this is no easy feat, but that is exactly what the wine cellar builders and team at vintage cellars do best! The glass front and custom wine cellar door, highlighted with metal framing in an interesting checkered pattern throughout, also posed a unique challenge within this wine cellar space. Glass walls, although absolutely stunning, can reduce the cooling capabilities within the wine room itself- simply due to the non insulating properties of glass. Whenever glass is utilized within a custom wine cellar, we always make sure to install dual paned thermal insulated glass. Within the wine cellar itself, The racking is made of all heart redwood with a clear finish, with single deep individual bottle storage above a high reveal display row and double deep bottle storage below. The amount of custom and unique features in this gorgeous custom wine cellar in La Jolla are almost too numerous to count! Take a closer peek and you will notice that the walls are covered with a custom redwood paneling with custom moldings throughout. The interestingly shaped island also has room for large format bottle storage and a small chilled wine refrigerator specifically for whites ready to be served. Our Clients wanted to update a family lakeside retreat with a modern sensibility. The resulting design is a warm, contemporary space intimate enough for the couple to enjoy alone, but flexible to accommodate additional guests. This project entailed the teardown of an existing structure and new construction of a two-story building. As required by zoning, the existing footprint was maintained. On the first floor, a traditional woodstove juxtaposed to a floating stair anchors the open floor plan. Large picture windows provide lake views for the dining and living areas. An adjacent galley kitchen makes for easy entertaining. The first floor also includes a guest suite. The second floor includes a master suite, secondary seating area, floor to ceiling built-ins, office space and an upper deck. Barn and pocket doors create additional sleeping accommodations as needed. Cable railings are used throughout so as to not impede sightlines.

While most rooms had a good layout, with living and dining room windows offering a stunning view of Lake Washington against the backdrop of majestic mountains, I opted to give the kitchen and both bathrooms a complete layout makeover. This intricate project necessitated the expertise of structural and mechanical engineers. Now, let's delve into the kitchen remodel—a true masterpiece. It entailed dramatic changes in layout, plumbing, and equipment placement. We closely collaborated with the client to craft a brand-new design. A primary goal was to create a spacious, functional kitchen space with ample storage, perfect for family gatherings. By removing two interior walls and retaining a structural column, we fashioned an inviting island with a cozy seating area.

2011 NARI CAPITAL COTY FINALIST AWARD WINNER Project Scope-- The owners of this 1990’s colonial home were seeking to convert the existing space-constricted builder-grade kitchen into a generously-apportioned Tuscan-style country kitchen with lots of natural light, high-end appointments and a warmly textured interior design concept. Among other features they sought a mid-room island that would house critical appliances, complete the work triangle and provide dining counter space for three. They also wanted to include a professional-grade gas range. Challenges-- Situated between dining room and family room, the existing kitchen was small and poorly planned. The sink faced a blank wall and the appliances were inadequate for the owner’s gourmet cooking ambitions. To create the desired footprint, the contractor, Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes, created a plan that called for consolidating square footage in several rooms adjacent to the kitchen. This entailed removing two load bearing walls– one between the kitchen and dining room, a second separating the kitchen and family room– and shifting loads to newly installed structural supports carefully concealed within the resultant “open” floor plan. To accommodate new appliances (and work efficiencies) called for by this radically altered space plan, the design located the new professional gas range and other key features in the footprint formerly occupied by the breakfast room, a change that takes advantage of opportunities for a higher cathedral ceiling, better natural lighting and greater space. Solutions-- With this space plan resolved, the design team could now eliminate a picture window on the west elevation, designing a new elevation to accommodate a stucco cooktop flanked by a pair of custom Palladium windows. A side elevation slider was replaced with a French door. Infrastructure considerations included introducing gas lines needed for the 48” Viking cooktop range and re-routing plumbing. The 5’ x 9’ granite-surfaced custom designed island includes the primary kitchen sink, a dishwasher, microwave and dining overhang that provided seating for up to four. On another wall, the design called for installing ceiling flush “beaded” display pantries with open bookcases, and routed-in plumbing for a water fountain, a faucet and an ice-making machine. Glazed maple and cherry cabinetry increased available storage by over 50%. A recessed space was also created for a built-in vertical wine rack. Style-appropriate terra cotta tiling with mosaic bordering detailing extends into the home’s foyer. Other finishing work elements include crown molding with rounded turn posts and corbels.

Owner wanted to terrace the lot and create a series of usable spaces with various functions. We developed a design to meet the desires of the Owner and installed the entire project.

The Cambridge Terrace Condominium project entailed a complete renovation of a triple-decker building into three luxury condominiums. A combination of white and black throughout creates a clean contrast, while the clear coat wood floor adds a splash of color and natural material. Outdoor decks and large double hung windows throughout flood the interior with natural light year round.
