As a growing design and build collaborative, our partnerships are critical to our success. And I can confidently say that we have found a true partner and trusted advisor in Red Barn. Ryan, Caitlin and team not only bring their expert skill set, curiosity and attention to our projects, but their working style and willingness to really co-create with us speaks volumes to their commitment to client-focused design. Our most recent project was nothing short of spectacular - much in part do to the speed at which Red Barn delivered incredibly detailed and precise documentation that checked all the boxes of our client's needs. From our experience, Red Barn Architecture is an inviting place. Ryan and Caitlin are welcoming people with obvious talent. We found inspiration just by visiting the "Red Barn" designed and built by Ryan and team. It's a great mix of practical space, old bits and interesting accents. Our favorite part of working with Red Barn Architecture was the careful listening they applied and the willingness to turn that into valued design. We weren't expecting anything too grand, just enough to make it special. They were able to achieve this and make the entire project fun.

Working with Red Barn on our kitchen renovation was a fun and enjoyable experience. As a client with strong design ideas, Ryan was helpful in talking through those ideas, exploring them, and making it all work. Our project involved more than opening up some walls, it also included restoring original cabinetry, incorporating mid-century elements and modern finishes, and ultimately transforming a space that would better serve our growing family. Mission accomplished! Ryan's wonderful customer service and endless positivity made the project that much better.

We had had Ryan McShera, the principal of Red Barn Architecture, do a small addition to our Vermont home in the past, so we were familiar with the quality of his work. This summer's project was an addition to our VT cottage almost equal to the square footage of the original structure, and Ryan was with us every step of the way. He listened to our ideas about what we wanted, drew the plans and modified them to our wishes, offered needed changes or sources for certain components, and conferred frequently with the contractor. Even though the project was in Vermont, he came up from Massachusetts to see how things were progressing. He was always available, always cordial, always patient, and the finished structure was everything we'd envisioned and more. We highly recommend Red Barn Architecture and would use the firm again in a minute if the need arose.
