DBK Builders designed and built this property from scratch in 2005 with the original owners. When the property sold to new homeowners, they desired an updated, contemporary interior aesthetic. We were brought in by these clients to work in conjunction with the Interior Designer to execute the updated remodel and design. Some of our interior remodeling work included pulling out the old fireplace and chimney and its finish and installing a new linear fireplace and stone chimney beneath the mounted television; pulling out all the old flooring and replacing with new whitestained oak flooring throughout the whole 7,000 square foot home; replacing all the countertops, cabinets, and appliances in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room. Exterior spaces include a dining area with a limestone fireplace, built-in fire pit, intimate sunken dining area with a pergola above, and open yard space for bocce. Landscaping and planters were all designed by Scott Byron & Co.

A Venetian plaster mantel and blackened metal chimney chase update what was a out of place Craftsman style tiled fireplace surround. The fire place logs were replaced with a modern gas burner and glass pebble flame bed.

This lovely custom-built home is surrounded by wild prairie and horse pastures. ORIJIN STONE Premium Bluestone Blue Select is used throughout the home; from the front porch & step treads, as a custom fireplace surround, throughout the lower level including the wine cellar, and on the back patio. Used a pallet of bricks that had been saved from the original construction. The original deck was removed, and brick was added to match the stone patio and brick on the house. Also changed access to crawl space access.
