This master bath features honed marble counters, framed pivot mirrors from RH, and a beveled subway tile backsplash. The counter was bumped up in the center to allow for more drawer storage, while still leaving room for the window which brings in natural light (and provides a fantastic view). A Docking Drawer allows the owner to keep hair tools plugged in and out of sight. The Maax soaking tub sits in an alcove with floating shelves that provide beautiful storage space. The marble basketweave mosaic was placed in front of this space to set it off. The glass bubble chandelier is a fun addition.

Lastly, docking stations for various electronic devices along with flat screen TVs and creating storage for these items is high on everyone’s list along with added storage for pots, pans, spices, cookbooks, etc. Creating storage for a kitchen’s entire myriad of tools remains a high priority for homeowners as they request a place for everything and everything in its place. Clean lines and clean appearances-no clutter on countertops-is at the top of today’s wish list. Photo by Chrissy Racho

This multi-level 4-bedroom home is a contemporary take on the lakeside cottage; a refined modern interpretation of traditional stylistic elements such as a steeply sloped slate roof, a generous dormer and prominent stone features. Situated along Lake Oswego channel, careful attention was given to privacy, views and natural light. The exterior materials, including cedar shingles, horizontal shiplap siding, copper, and buff ledge stone, were selected to patina with age. Inside, a dramatic stairway links the upper bedroom level with the lower level communal living spaces and finally to the basement, which is outfitted with a media room and climate controlled wine cellar. Walls of operable glass slide away along the lower level living and dining rooms opening to a terraced flagstone patio and fire pit. A private boathouse and a floating dock provide the perfect perch to enjoy lakeside living.

This kitchen remodel turned an outdated space into an elegant, functional and bright space - an entertainer's dream. White shaker cabinets, white marble countertop on island, dark gray on perimeter.
New addition of a dry bar on opposite side of kitchen sink, part of sunroom addition, makes a perfect countertop wraparound addition - more work surface, more serving space.

The Kitchen/Dining space in the original cabin felt dark and did not take full advantage of the gorgeous river views. The reconfigured space increases the storage, brings in more light, and have a river view from the sink as well as from the dining table.

This cozy lake cottage skillfully incorporates a number of features that would normally be restricted to a larger home design. A glance of the exterior reveals a simple story and a half gable running the length of the home, enveloping the majority of the interior spaces. To the rear, a pair of gables with copper roofing flanks a covered dining area that connects to a screened porch. Inside, a linear foyer reveals a generous staircase with cascading landing. Further back, a centrally placed kitchen is connected to all of the other main level entertaining spaces through expansive cased openings. A private study serves as the perfect buffer between the homes master suite and living room. Despite its small footprint, the master suite manages to incorporate several closets, built-ins, and adjacent master bath complete with a soaker tub flanked by separate enclosures for shower and water closet. Upstairs, a generous double vanity bathroom is shared by a bunkroom, exercise space, and private bedroom. The bunkroom is configured to provide sleeping accommodations for up to 4 people. The rear facing exercise has great views of the rear yard through a set of windows that overlook the copper roof of the screened porch below.
