This remarkable freestanding elliptical staircase creates a spectacular architectural moment. Three flights rise gracefully through the house, featuring soft light-stained oak treads and handrail that blend seamlessly with the home's hardwood flooring. Crisp white stringers and risers provide a clean foundation, allowing the natural wood warmth to shine. The defining feature is the geometric black wrought-iron balusters. It is the contrast between organic curves and precise geometry, natural wood and forged metal, that creates a staircase that's both elegant and dramatic.

The new fireplace hearth, crafted from textured Pietra Cardosa, echoes the geometries of the adjacent chevron flooring, while the surround is elegantly constructed from matching marble in a high-honed finish.

Designed by the homeowners themselves, this striking staircase rises through multiple levels with architectural precision. Dark-toned square balusters and newels create bold contrast against crisp white risers, while horizontal stainless steel rods maintain visual lightness.
The brilliance lies in the interplay of angles, levels, textures, and natural light. Strategic design choices transform the staircase into more than a connector. It carves out cozy sunny nooks and creates focal points throughout the open floor plan, proving that thoughtful geometry can shape how a home feels and functions.

Custom Knotty Alder Daughter's Suite: Integrated Storage & Home Tech
We designed this daughter's bedroom as a fully unified sanctuary, leveraging intricate, hand-finished millwork to create a seamless living and media hub. By strictly utilizing the same custom Knotty Alder found throughout the entire Hayden estate, we ensured the secondary rooms deliver the identical "no-expense-spared" standard as the primary master suite.
Artisan Features & Construction Excellence:
Complete Knotty Alder Media Wall: The centerpiece of the room is a comprehensive Knotty Alder built-in system. This isn't just cabinetry; it's a structural element designed to define the room’s function, showcasing the natural, rustic texture that balances the home’s modern technology.
Integrated Media Console: The lower cabinetry features a dedicated media console with open component shelving and concealable storage drawers. We engineered the console to support a integrated smart TV (note the kitchen construction detail on the screen!), seamlessly hiding all wiring behind the precision panel work.
High-Capacity Floor-to-Ceiling Storage: Flanking the media zone are massive linen towers and wardrobes, providing sophisticated, long-term organization. Every door and drawer utilizes furniture-grade joinery and substantial, traditional hardware to match the luxury aesthetic of the home's plumbing.
Unified Architectural Details: We extended the Knotty Alder into substantial architectural casings, framing the expansive window/slider and tying the room into the surrounding Idaho landscape. This continuity of material creates a sophisticated, "Mountain Modern" environment throughout the entire residence.
Technical Flow: Note the complex integration of the built-ins into the room’s geometry, including the perfectly fit baseboard trim. This level of finish work demonstrates our capability to manage complex millwork installations as effectively as our advanced Kohler hydrotherapy systems.

Located in Old Town immediately overlooking Park City, this four-level family home incorporates elements of the historic silver mining town vernacular. The home steps back as it ascends the hill to reduce the mass, creating outdoor terraces with views up Deer Valley. The ground level is comprised of an articulated stone base with arched openings for vehicular access, which supports the complex interlocking gables of the upper stories. The geometry of the roof lines and overhangs are reminiscent of classic chalet architecture. The elegantly appointed interiors are defined by beamed ceilings and wooden wainscotting that run throughout the house, creating an atmosphere of comfort and warmth

Central El Paso Backyard Renovation:
Fifteen years is a long time for a backyard to quietly wait.
At first, it was full of intention—a pool that promised summers, laughter, and long evenings. But time has a way of settling in. The water turned still, then green. Edges cracked. The space became less of a destination and more of something you looked past. Life moved forward, but the backyard stayed behind.
Then came the decision: it was time.
Not a patch job. Not a quick fix. A complete reset.
The transformation didn’t begin beautifully—it began with demolition. The old pool was drained, exposing years of neglect etched into its surface. Crews stepped in, breaking, clearing, reshaping. What once held stagnant water became an open cavity of possibility. Steel rebar formed a new skeleton, precise and intentional. Every line measured. Every elevation reconsidered.
This wasn’t just construction—it was rethinking how the space should live.
The shell was rebuilt. Surfaces were refined. Plumbing, structure, and flow were corrected at their core. What had once been outdated and failing was now engineered to last.
Then the shift happened.
Hardscape came in—clean, warm-toned concrete replacing worn decking. Stone walls, once just boundaries, were elevated into features. Subtle textures, intentional lines. A visual language that matched the architecture of the home instead of competing with it.
The pool returned—but not as it was.
Now it was sharp, modern, and inviting. A long, clean body of water with a shallow tanning ledge that catches the sun just right. Stainless steel scuppers arc water into the pool—movement, sound, life. Steps are crisp, geometry is balanced, and the water reflects clarity instead of neglect.
Around it, the yard found purpose.
Artificial turf introduced contrast—green, controlled, low-maintenance. A pergola structure rose in the corner, creating a destination within the destination. Beneath it, a built-in outdoor kitchen turned the backyard into a place to gather, not just pass through. Lighting stitched everything together, making the space just as alive at dusk as it is under the midday sun.
By the end, nothing felt accidental.
What was once forgotten is now deliberate. What was once avoided is now the center of attention.
Fifteen years later, the backyard didn’t just come back—it finally became what it was always supposed to be.

This masterpiece is a juxtaposition of geometry and natural materials. The exterior is clad in a semi-transparent black-stained cedar siding. The stain is dark, but still allows the woodgrain to shine through. Three chimneys straddle the peak of the cedar shake roof, their shapes along the roofline forming diamonds and triangles. A chunky-legged pergola welcomes visitors under its repeating arms. Guests enter the home beneath curved oak bandings lining a Richardsonian archway.

Set in prime Scottsdale, this luxury outdoor retreat features a raised spa, a fully equipped outdoor bar, and a sculptural waterfall feature that defines the space with movement and serenity. Designed by Shearon Design Collective, the space combines modern geometry with warm materiality, balancing sleek finishes with the soft textures of the desert landscape. The layout encourages flow between spa, lounge, and entertainment areas—creating a personalized outdoor experience that feels both elevated and grounded. This project embodies the essence of refined outdoor living in the Sonoran Southwest.

Large trendy freestanding desk porcelain tile study room photo in Orange County with blue walls

This residence is located on the banks of the Snake River. Drawing inspiration from the adjacent braided river channels, the precise layout form unique relationships to the site from each room, as well as dynamic views and spatial experiences. The sequence of interior spaces gradually unfolds to reveal views of the pond, river and mountains beyond. The skewed geometry creates shifting views between interior spaces and levels.
A three-story stair atrium brings light into the core of the house, gracefully connects floor levels, and creates a transition from the public to private zones of the house. The volume of the house cantilevers to cover an exterior dining area and spans to frame the entrance into the house and the river beyond. The exterior rain screen on the clean modern forms creates continuity with the surrounding cottonwood forest.

It is all about colour. When designer Anna Scurfield and her husband Sergei Scurfield decided to renovate their own home they started at the Denca Showroom. When they saw the Red Bertazzoni range, all the design details began to fall into place. Anna was already inspired to do a grey palette for her home. However, grey is so tricky when done wrong it can be clinical or boring.
The powerful pro range was what she was looking for in performance and red gave the drama and excitement needed to balance the quiet shades in grey. We picked up that red by simply having the large lift cabinets above have a matching Red finished interior. With the circular peek a boo windows it was just enough to accentuate the red without throwing it everywhere.
The backsplash is made from travel photos in black and white. The urban scenes were laminated onto a tempered clear glass, for fire protection. The detail of the images again concentrates attention to the range wall as all other shapes in the room are pure geometry.
The dark waterfall countertops wrap the cabinets just like the dark floor to ceiling gables frame the tall pantry units. The simplest of shapes – with one giant punch of colour balances and warms the design.
The kitchen is a showstopper. The bravery to be bold was inspired from the beautiful lines and design of the Italian range.

Geometric details of the landscape reflect the simple geometry of the home and are complemented by the romantic curvilinear layout of the landscape design.
