This was a down to the studs interior remodel of a historic home in Boise's North End. Through an extensive Design Phase we opened up the living spaces, relocated and rearranged bathrooms, re-designed the mail level to include an Owner's Suite, and added living space in the attic. The interior of this home had not been touched for a half century and now serves the needs of a growing family with updates from attic to lower level game room. Designing a whole home remodel for a client’s second home was an exciting opportunity to create a space that felt both welcoming and timeless. The clients wanted a space that felt light, bright, and timeless. We focused on an open-concept layout, maximizing natural light and incorporating soft, neutral tones that complemented the desert landscape. The main showstopper of the home was the kitchen, which the family considered the heart of the home. Featuring high-end finishes, the kitchen became a space for both cooking and gathering, designed for both functionality and elegance. Thoughtful touches, such as custom cabinetry, integrated appliances, and custom hood, helped elevate the entire space, making it a true focal point. With a thoughtful blend of modern design and classic touches, the remodel was tailored to ensure the space could grow with the family and become a place they would cherish and enjoy for years to come.

The client wanted a better flow throughout their landscape, as well as introduce straight lines to a space to modernize the irregular shaped pool. Their upper deck was where they did a majority of their entertaining so ensuring this space was large enough for both dining and lounge was the starting point of the design. Introducing privacy from the many on looking neighbours, without completely blocking it off from the rest of their own yard was important. Laser cut privacy screens added this filtered privacy. A round hot tub was added to the back corner of the property, which otherwise seemed like wasted space. Highlighted by the privacy panels in the same pattern used on the deck to create some consistency. Trees were both maintained and added where needs along the property to add greenery and privacy. The entire space now feels open within the backyard, but private from neighbours.

Gorgeous master bath finished with Dal-Tile's Fabrique porcelain tile in the color Noir Linen polished. Tile size is 12"x24" installed in a brick joint pattern. The floor boasts underfloor heating on a timed thermostat.

This expansive turn-of-the-century home in the heart of Summerhill was previously renovated in a classic ‘80’s style and needed a substantial makeover. The front half remained traditional while the back of the home was completely opened up and styled in a very modern aesthetic complete with huge windows, oversized skylights, custom exterior metal panels, and natural thermally modified Ash cladding. The wide open kitchen is a chef's dream and the ceiling soars up 20 feet!

We assisted this home owner with the purchase of a 5½ foot Galley Workstation. This sink includes interchangeable accessories that slide above and below each other on the two tiers, allowing the perfect functioning space. The accessories include 2 upper tier cutting boards, 2 - 14” bowls and lower tier platform, 2 colanders for the lower tier and a drain rack. The Soapstone countertop is 3cm Saratoga Black with half bullnose edge with a 4” backsplash.
