Our client’s foremost design priority was to create a space that is both glamorous and highly functional—equally suited to everyday living and to serve as a true stage for entertainment. At the core of the project was the restoration of the loft’s authentic character, thoughtfully reimagined to complement a refined industrial-chic aesthetic. The apartment’s previous incarnation leaned toward traditional design, with wainscoting, dropped ceilings, crown moldings, and concealed structural elements. In contrast, the new vision embraces the building’s industrial roots. Ceilings were opened to reveal the original structure, steel columns were exposed, and historic brick walls were uncovered, reintroducing a sense of honesty and architectural depth to the space. From the outset, the project involved close collaboration with a lighting specialist to transform what had been notably dark interiors: a layered lighting strategy was implemented, combining concealed architectural illumination with focused overhead accents. In the kitchen, salvaged industrial “X-Ray Shade” mercury-glass fixtures—originally designed for maximum reflectivity—introduce both character and warmth. Artist Cimone Berman was commissioned to create a series of bespoke mirrors for the space to further enhance the play of light. Each one-of-a-kind piece blends historical influences (reminiscent of aged material,) with contemporary artistic expression futher enhancing the sense of openness and luminosity throughout the loft while reinforcing the project’s balance between industrial authenticity and refined sophistication. This irresistibly stylish living room lounge area with a home bar features a gorgeous mid-century modular shelving wall unit. The less-is-more approach with clean lines, organic forms, and high functionality is time-honored design.

The original kitchen felt undersized for a 4,500-square-foot home, with adjacent formal spaces left unused and disconnected from daily life. The homeowners envisioned a larger, more welcoming kitchen that could better support cooking, entertaining, and gathering.
The renovation reworked the layout by incorporating the underutilized sitting room, allowing the kitchen to expand and open directly to the formal dining area. This created a more spacious and highly functional flow between spaces. A 10-foot walnut-stained island anchors the kitchen, complemented by a matching glass-front curio cabinet, chef-grade appliances, and dual sinks designed to support multiple cooks. A large window above the sink brings in natural light and frames views of the backyard, while a dedicated scullery provides additional pantry storage and prep space, keeping the main kitchen organized.
The result is a kitchen that feels open, intentional, and well-suited for both everyday living and entertaining.

This 1,000ft² recording and production studio, built in 2021 for producer couple Latifah Alattas and Lucas Morton, was designed as a fully custom creative environment that supports writing, mixing, and collaboration at the highest level. Both Latifah and Lucas are multi-instrumentalists, engineers, and mixers, and the studio reflects the full range of their workflows—visually inspiring, technically precise, and intuitive in every room.
The facility was built from the ground up with a strong emphasis on architectural acoustics and plug-and-play connectivity. The layout includes two Control Rooms, multiple isolation booths, and shared common spaces, all tied together with seamless audio integration. No matter where you are in the studio, routing, monitoring, and communication remain effortless and consistent.
Behind the aesthetic, the acoustic design is exceptionally robust. Six independent floating-floor systems support the suites, ensuring each room operates with minimal sound transmission. Tailored sound-reducing wall assemblies, full-lite doors, engineered window systems, and intentional treatment plans deliver clarity, isolation, and precision for tracking and mixing. Each space is mechanically decoupled, allowing multiple rooms to run simultaneously without compromise.
For monitoring, both Latifah and Lucas chose Genelec “The Ones” series monitors with GLM calibration to ensure accurate translation and consistency across the entire facility.
Natural light and a warm, welcoming aesthetic anchor the visual identity of the studio, reflecting the creative energy and personality of its owners. The result is a highly functional, beautifully crafted space where ideas can move freely and production can happen without limitations.

This project focused on reimagining the kitchen and powder bath, bringing both spaces into something far more timeless. In the kitchen, we reworked the layout to improve flow and maximize storage, creating a space that feels both elevated and highly functional. A softly curved island anchors the room and was designed to encourage gathering while adding a sense of ease at the heart of the home.
A modern coastal palette guided the design, with layered blues adding depth while keeping the overall feel light, fresh, and enduring.
In the powder bath, we leaned into a more old world sensibility, introducing classic wallpaper and tailored millwork to create a space that feels collected, cohesive, and quietly impactful.
The result is a home that feels thoughtfully updated, honoring its past while fully embracing the way it is meant to be lived in today.
