The bathroom had been renovated over ten years ago and the clients wanted to maintain as much as possible. The goal was to repair and restore the bathroom to look as if the leak never happened. Our challenge was to design the least invasive solution that would be low maintenance and keep with original style.

This hillside was overgrown with weeds and invasive plants. Now it has been planted with native plant material to help stop erosion.

This exquisite home on Philadelphia's Main Line underwent a total landscape transformation. Overgrown plantings and invasive species were removed to make room for a transitional landscape that functions for this family's low-maintenance lifestyle. Here, boxwoods are interplanted with native species and formal lines are combined with a rain garden. This updated landscape now supports the client's lifestyle as well as the surrounding environment!

My client poured her soul into the remodel which took the home down to studs. She has impeccable, contemporary taste and the home is a piece of art. We needed exquisite landscaping to tie the outside to the inside. Deeply contrasting and textural foliage-based design, copper gutters, and gorgeous light sconces now set off this contemporary gem. For the steep back hillside, we opted to do a hillside restoration and chose plants that existed in coastal terrace ecosystem prior to development. We removed tons of invasive iceplant and the whole hillside now buzzing with hummingbirds and pollinators, in addition to framing the ocean view with an undulating tapestry of plants. You can actually see spouting whales from the deck!

While on vacation, our clients found a very talented artist whom they commissioned to make two sinks for their master bath rehab. We designed the space to highlight these magnificent bowls. By keeping the use of blue to a minimum, the sinks became the focal point. In supporting roles, we utilized iridescent tiles on the walls and a coordinating faux stone tile. While this room was large enough to separate the shower from the bathing area, a separate water closet wasn't in the cards. This yard was large but overgrown. It had rotted railway ties framing the 2 terraced levels and the overgrowth completely hid a upper deck with (potential) views out to Lake Washington. We replaced the railway ties with 2 75' retaining walls with proper drainage, new landscaping and trimming of invasive blackberries and many large and unwieldy bushes. A new horizontal cedar fence was added at each entry point to fully enclose the rear yard.
