This modern farmhouse is instantly appealing with a metal accent roof, board-and-batten siding, and simple gable brackets. A spacious front porch leads to a welcoming entry through double doors while an open design creates an easy flow in the living spaces. The gourmet kitchen enjoys a center island and built-in corner pantry. A convenient drop zone is just inside the garage entry for bags, coats, and shoes. Natural light is a key element throughout this design, with large windows in every bedroom, a sun-tunnel in the master closet, and skylights in the dining room and screened porch.

Sunset Construction and Design specializes in creating residential patio retreats, outdoor kitchens with fireplaces and luxurious outdoor living rooms. Our design-build service can turn an ordinary back yard into a natural extension of your home giving you a whole new dimension for entertaining or simply unwinding at the end of the day.
Today, almost any activity you enjoy inside your home you can bring to the outside. Depending on your budget, your outdoor room can be simple, with a stamped concrete patio, a grill and a table for dining, or more elaborate with a fully functional outdoor kitchen complete with concrete countertops for preparing and serving food, a sink and a refrigerator. You can take the concept even further by adding such amenities as a concrete pizza oven, a fireplace or fire-pit, a concrete bar-top for serving cocktails, an architectural concrete fountain, landscape lighting and concrete statuary.
Cooking
Something to cook with, such as a barbecue grill or wood-fired pizza oven, and countertops for food preparation and serving are key elements in a well-designed outdoor kitchen. Concrete countertops offer the advantages of weather resistance and versatility, since they can be formed into any shape you desire to suit the space. A coat of sealer will simplify cleanup by protecting your countertop from stains. Other amenities, such as concrete bar-tops and outdoor sinks with plumbing, can expand your entertainment options.
Hearth
Wood-burning or gas fireplaces, fire pits, chimineas and portable patio heaters extend the enjoyment of outdoor living well into the evening while creating a cozy conversation area for people to gather around.
If you’re interested in converting a boring back yard or starting from scratch in a new home, look us up! A great patio and outdoor living area can easily be yours. Greg, Sunset Construction & Design in Fresno, CA.

The owners of this 1980’s built-home wanted to create a completely new look for their outdated master bath and turned to Renovisions for design and build services. Having perused Renovisions website, they were confident they made the right choice to help them transform their ordinary space into something truly extraordinary. The design team created several configurations for the homeowners review until they nailed down one particular design that would create that wow factor.
The main challenges were creating an open, spacious feel and maximizing natural light and ventilation with plenty of storage and customizations. The addition of a second window allows ample light into the space throughout the day along with the recessed and sconce lights which were perfectly placed. Storage, which was a key element of this design, includes two separate vanity cabinets (his and hers) with plenty of space for needed toiletries, a matching framed medicine cabinet for her and a custom built cubby for him. Built on site was a linen closet with both roll out and stationary shelves for towels and shower supplies. The spacious walk-in, all tiled shower boasts ‘no door’ access with lineal drain, traditional fixed and hand-held shower heads and a rounded shower seat. Polished black granite was used inside the cubby and topping both the threshold and seat creating a nice contrast to and tying in with the floor. The decorative grab bar ensures safety for these homeowners while showering. The heated floors added throughout the bath take the edge off when stepping out of the warm shower and are conveniently operated by a 24 hour programmable thermostat. Classic white subway tile and chair rail trims adorne all walls and tie in nicely to each vanity station. Carrera look quartz was the perfect choice for countertops creating a clean fresh look. Stunning marble basket-weave mosaic floor tile set the stage in this exquisite bath as the beautiful white painted cabinetry softened the overall feel of the space.
These homeowners are not saving spa retreats for once-a-year vacations anymore, they now enjoy a relaxing spa-like shower experience every day in their own home!

A large double sided island anchors this beautiful bright white walk-in closet. Featuring floor to ceiling custom cabinetry, enclosed upper cabinets, handbag and shoe display cases, mirrors and glass doors. Integrated LED lighting is a key element in our closets. The client’s vision for this house and boathouse at Horning on the Norfolk Broads was to provide an exemplary building that is sustainable and graceful in design, complementing and enhancing the setting and providing a legacy for future generations.
The extensive use of wood cladding and decking were key elements of LSI architects’ design. However, given that ‘The Haven’ is in a flood zone, surrounded on three sides by water and constantly exposed to a high moisture content in the air, LSI needed to find a wood that they could be confident would deliver durability, dimensional stability and aesthetics. Accoya wood presented the perfect answer.
Accoya, supplied by International Timber, was used for cladding and decking. The glue laminated Accoya wood for the curved rear screen was manufactured by Newnham & Abel Ltd and hand finished with a protective merbau-coloured coating from WoodGuard by Guard Industrie. The same finish was factory applied to the cladding.

This dysfunctional kitchen was in need of an update to increase both function and style. By moving some key elements, we were able to add a lot of additional counter space. We also solved a lack of natural light by adding three large skylights. The natural stone quartzite countertops are the star of this kitchen and we ran them up the backsplash for a clean look that really makes a statement.

In this photo, you can see the angle of the eaves, and, again, form and function are dancing together -- the windows do more than provide light; they're a key element in the composition of the building.

The Carlsbad Home in the Carlsbad Estates Near the Beach had a full redesign and home remodel on the first floor. The home was opened up and the kitchen was moved to the other side of the home. We added a marble island that was a show stopper, within the kitchen that was large open to the outdoors. With new 100 ft windows throughout the living room and the indoor outdoor living was complimented with textured walls, wood floors, amazing show stopping lights, and details of tiles.
Located in the prestigious Carlsbad Estates near the beach, this home underwent a complete first-floor redesign and remodel. The transformation that we did with our General Contractor features an open-concept layout with a relocated kitchen, now boasting a stunning marble island that serves as a showpiece. This spacious kitchen seamlessly opens to the outdoors, creating an ideal space for entertaining.
Key elements of the remodel include:
100 ft Windows: These expansive windows in the living room enhance the indoor-outdoor living experience, flooding the space with natural light.
Textured Walls & Wood Floors: These features add warmth and character, complementing the open layout.
Show-Stopping Lighting: Unique lighting fixtures throughout the home create a striking ambiance.
Tile Details: Carefully selected tiles add a touch of elegance and individuality.
The remodel also introduced:
A new guest bathroom
A modern laundry room
An additional bedroom
A built-in bar area in the living room for easy entertaining
This beautiful and open space, completed over a year and a half, is now light, bright, and perfect for a young family to grow. The meticulous design and thoughtful details make this Carlsbad home a true masterpiece.

This custom landscape installation in Parker, Colorado was designed to complement a newly built home with a clean, Modern Country aesthetic. As part of a large‑scale exterior project in the Metro Denver area, the landscape was crafted to enhance curb appeal, support long‑term durability, and create a welcoming outdoor environment that feels cohesive with the home’s architecture and surrounding terrain.
The design focuses on structure, simplicity, and natural flow—key elements of Modern Country style. Hardscape features establish strong visual lines and functional outdoor spaces, while plant selections were chosen for climate suitability, seasonal interest, and long‑term sustainability. Each component was tailored to the property’s layout and the homeowner’s vision for a refined yet inviting exterior.
Because this is a new‑construction landscape, the installation serves as the foundation for the home’s future outdoor living potential. The layout balances open areas with defined planting zones, ensuring the landscape will mature beautifully over time. Materials and colors were selected to harmonize with the home’s exterior finishes, creating a unified look from the street to the entryway and throughout the property.
This project reflects the thoughtful planning and craftsmanship behind every Stone & Flower Gardens installation—bringing together design, function, and Colorado’s natural beauty to create an exterior that feels timeless, resilient, and ready to grow with the home.

Cozy beach cottages create a family-friendly vacation home in the Bahamas. Functionality and durability were key elements in the design, along with taking advantage of the ocean views. This inspired the clean and simple contemporary style of this island oasis.

The concept of the interior is built on a holistic approach to design solutions. Zoning is achieved by an island layout of objects: a wardrobe in the hallway, a kitchen table and a dresser in the bedroom. The key elements of each room, such as the kitchen island, dresser in the dressing room and the case in the bathroom, are made of light wood. Also, light gray curtains accentuate the texture (not the colors) on the wall background.

This project is the definition of where the finesse of craftsmanship and structural brute must meet and far exceed client expectations.
The massive undertaking of excavating 700 cubic yards of soil to add a new basement below the existing structure took this 2-story home to 4,000 square feet. This now 3-story Victorian boasts 1,800 additional square feet of useable space including a third living room with soundproof insulation and custom built-in cabinetry, a wet bar, full bathroom with Waterworks fixtures and intricate marble tile, private office, laundry room equipped with a chute from every floor, and a gym & guest room.
Restoring, the original upper 2 floors of this stunning Victorian to its former glory was another challenge in and of itself. Rehabbing vaulted coved ceilings & original early 19th century mantels, renovating the bedrooms and bathrooms, updating the kitchen and creating an indoor/outdoor experience by installing doors in the former window locations between the dining room and patio were just a few key elements of this project.

This was an ensuite where the homeowners wanted to create a retreat for themselves. With a steam shower being a key element and a vanity that the homeowner fell in love with, the design began. Finishing with a very unique tile design this space became one of a kind.
