JRP Design & RemodelOur clients were living with outdated, dark bathrooms in their newly purchased Falling Star home. The dull palette of warm neutrals did not reflect the couple’s East Coast traditional style. They noticed several renovation projects by JRP in the neighborhood. The professionalism and the process impressed them. After receiving a Pardon Our Dust courtesy letter from JRP, the couple decided to call for a consultation. Their wish list was clear. They wanted the Falling Star design to be light, airy, and white. It had to reflect their East Coast roots. Working with the original footprint, JRP completely transformed the space, creating a tranquil primary suite rich with traditional detail. The result is an effusive celebration of classic style.
Now, the radiant rooms glow. To enlarge the primary closet, the JRP team removed a cluttered storage area. Inside, a separate dressing space is finished with upgraded storage and refined built-in cabinetry with recessed panels. Pops of glam such as Robert Abbey glass chandeliers and brilliant bits of chrome are moored by traditional elements like crown molding, porcelain tiles, and a quartz-clad drop-in soaking tub. Large windows in the primary bath and funnel skylights in the closet harness the natural light to stunning effect, sweeping the rooms with the cool feeling of fresh air. The “Sail Cloth” white paint adds soft depth to the uncomplicated elegance of both rooms.

MRF Construction, Inc.A new bathroom was designed using the same space, and allowing for a larger curbless shower, two generous sink vanities and a linen cabinet.
The new shower is spacious and refreshing, with tall ceilings, frameless glass walls, a curb-less and door-less entry and a barely noticeable infinity drain all adding to the openness. A bench seat was integrated into the quartz countertop wrap of the cabinets, seamlessly integrating the shower and cabinets into one cohesive space, and heat in the tile floor was also run into the bench seat to keep it warm and comfortable
Teknik Design & RemodelingThis picture shows the custom glass shower enclosure (we had them replace one panel which is missing from the shot). You'll notice an extra large shower footprint, pebble shower pan tile, and a pairing of both traditional shower head and a shower head on a slider bar.

Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncThe master bathroom remodel was done in continuation of the color scheme that was done throughout the house.
Large format tile was used for the floor to eliminate as many grout lines and to showcase the large open space that is present in the bathroom.
All 3 walls were tiles with large format tile as well with 3 decorative lines running in parallel with 1 tile spacing between them.
The deck of the tub that also acts as the bench in the shower was covered with the same quartz stone material that was used for the vanity countertop, notice for its running continuously from the vanity to the waterfall to the tub deck and its step.
Another great use for the countertop was the ledge of the shampoo niche.
Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncAnother update project we did in the same Townhome community in Culver city. This time more towards Modern Farmhouse / Transitional design.
Kitchen cabinets were completely refinished with new hardware installed. The black island is a great center piece to the white / gold / brown color scheme.
The Master bathroom was transformed from a plain contractor's bathroom to a true modern mid-century jewel of the house. The black floor and tub wall tiles are a fantastic way to accent the white tub and freestanding wooden vanity.
Notice how the plumbing fixtures are almost hidden with the matte black finish on the black tile background.
The shower was done in a more modern tile layout with aligned straight lines.
The hallway Guest bathroom was partially updated with new fixtures, vanity, toilet, shower door and floor tile.
that's what happens when older style white subway tile came back into fashion. They fit right in with the other updates.

Jarrett DesignOld farmhouses offer charm and character but usually need some careful changes to efficiently serve the needs of today’s families. This blended family of four desperately desired a master bath and walk-in closet in keeping with the exceptional features of the home. At the top of the list were a large shower, double vanity, and a private toilet area. They also requested additional storage for bathroom items. Windows, doorways could not be relocated, but certain nonloadbearing walls could be removed. Gorgeous antique flooring had to be patched where walls were removed without being noticeable. Original interior doors and woodwork were restored. Deep window sills give hints to the thick stone exterior walls. A local reproduction furniture maker with national accolades was the perfect choice for the cabinetry which was hand planed and hand finished the way furniture was built long ago. Even the wood tops on the beautiful dresser and bench were rich with dimension from these techniques. The legs on the double vanity were hand turned by Amish woodworkers to add to the farmhouse flair. Marble tops and tile as well as antique style fixtures were chosen to complement the classic look of everything else in the room. It was important to choose contractors and installers experienced in historic remodeling as the old systems had to be carefully updated. Every item on the wish list was achieved in this project from functional storage and a private water closet to every aesthetic detail desired. Hillcrest BuildersThis 2015 Parade home is our Styles model which has great curb appeal. Entering into this home you will immediately notice the spacious, inviting open floor concept. The nine foot ceilings, oversized windows, and open layout make this home seam much larger than 1647 sq. ft.
The deluxe kitchen you will notice striking white cabinets that extend to the ceiling offering optimal storage and great aesthetics and beautiful granite countertops. The inviting kitchen also hosts a pantry for your extra storage needs.
The home features large den overlooking the pond and the ledge in the background and two bedrooms with a master suite with a grand French door entry. The lower level has a walk out patio door for proximity to the pond for swimming and boating. The attached three car garage offers ample storage.
Transforming RoomsDo you prefer symmetrical rooms? We remembered the client saying they did. For solution #11: We changed the room shape to make it symmetrical. The door to the toilet was changed to the same angle as the shower door. Also notice the niche in the shower, we planned this recessed area during the framing stage, but if plumbing allows, you can often add one after the walls are up. We made it the correct depth to be a handy shelf for shampoo. Also - notice the plush shag rug, light fixture and roman shades. The chandelier is on a dimmer, which looks stunning at night!
30
