My client wanted a bedroom to come home to after a hard days work. Our inspirational piece was the artwork over the sofa, the client had this piece of art and wanted us to incorporate it into our design. We chose the blue wallpaper by Candice Olson for the accent wall so we can highlight the gray tufted headboard. We went with white and accents of gray for the bedding, and brought in a leather bench at the foot of the bed. The client wanted an area to lounge and read or watch television so we included the sofa in the room, which is custom made with a dark gray velvet material. To bring everything together we added splashes of coral in the room that we pulled from the artwork. Photo done by C&J Studios.

Products making their television debut in this project were Anthology Woods Northwest Blend (a naturally weathered wood installed on a section of the ceiling, unfinished) and the extremely hard & durable Left Coast White Oak, a unique species growing only in a narrow strip of Oregon and bit in California & Washington (installed for the flooring, finished with Rubio Monocoat White natural oil). The homeowners were able to easily apply the finish themselves prior to installing the floor, and the zero VOC nature of the oil insured it was safe to move right in! The White tint to the oil gives a subtle white-washed look to the floors while maintaining a natural look and a supple feel underfoot. The couple participating in the episode loved their floor so much they decided to add more, installing it in their master bedroom, as well! The rich character of this natural Oak in a flat sawn (the old "European" way to cut Oak) wood product adds a timeless element & warmth to the feel of the space. Looking closely at the grain, you'll see cathedral patterns in many boards, along with a great mix of flat grain with rift areas as well. Finishing out the details of the room, the Bath Crashers team added natural carerra marble in the shower with tones of white & gray, and apron-front vanity sinks for extra charm.

This moody master bedroom suite showcases a striking painted paneled accent wall behind the bed, complemented by stunning reclaimed barn beams and tongue-and-groove beadboard on the ceiling. Elegant Patricia Round Chandeliers with natural coco beads frame the bed, while warm, hand-scraped European oak floors add a rich, textured finish to the space.

The ship lap continues throughout the master suite in the upstairs. Hardwoods were places throughout to give a more luxurious feel. This sitting room was added to take up the remaining upstairs area to create one large master suite. Comfy furnishings were chosen to accent the colors of the room and to allow the great view out into the lake to be seen across the whole suite.

There are 4 integrated LED mirrors in the master bath, two with recessed televisions behind the mirror that are seen only when in use. Both the "his" vanity (shown here) and the "hers" vanity have a tall section in between, dividing them into two parts. Inside the tall cabinet is ample storage for all toiletries and plug-in personal accessories like shavers and hair dryers.
