From foundation pour to welcome home pours, we loved every step of this residential design. This home takes the term “bringing the outdoors in” to a whole new level! The patio retreats, firepit, and poolside lounge areas allow generous entertaining space for a variety of activities. Coming inside, no outdoor view is obstructed and a color palette of golds, blues, and neutrals brings it all inside. From the dramatic vaulted ceiling to wainscoting accents, no detail was missed. The master suite is exquisite, exuding nothing short of luxury from every angle. We even brought luxury and functionality to the laundry room featuring a barn door entry, island for convenient folding, tiled walls for wet/dry hanging, and custom corner workspace – all anchored with fabulous hexagon tile.

The most significant change of the Bridlemile Midcentury project took place here in the kitchen. We united what were previously three separate spaces (laundry/mudroom, kitchen, and nook) into one grand cooking and entertainment space. As much as we love and respect the original 1954 vision, times have changed- especially when it comes to household activities such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry. In addition to knocking down the mudroom/laundry walls, we expanded the opening between kitchen and dining spaces to showcase the southern view and maximize daylight. Incorporating a large island enabled us to centralize the sink to face the dining area, yard, and view beyond. And [as a reflection of our era] we achieved a more proportional balance between the kitchen, dining, and living room volumes.

This home is built to the passive house standard and produces more energy than it uses on an annual basis. Learn more at our blog.

This modern beach house in Jacksonville Beach features a large, open entertainment area consisting of great room, kitchen, dining area and lanai. A unique second-story bridge over looks both foyer and great room. Polished concrete floors and horizontal aluminum stair railing bring a contemporary feel. The kitchen shines with European-style cabinetry and GE Profile appliances. The private upstairs master suite is situated away from other bedrooms and features a luxury master shower and floating double vanity. Two roomy secondary bedrooms share an additional bath.
