By combining green cabinets with wooden island cabinet, we saved the kitchen from mediocrity and blended it with gold fixtures, giving your kitchen a brand-new look and vitality.

We made some small structural changes and then used coastal inspired decor to best complement the beautiful sea views this Laguna Beach home has to offer. The combination of Rustic and Craftsman styles with a modern add-on of high end appliances and a modern layout created this masterpiece of a kitchen. The cabinets are painted off-white with antique glazing on it and the island is completely built from 100 year old reclaimed wood. the hardware is distressed iron finish and a black cement farmhouse sink all add to the story this kitchen tells. The full height pantry wall holds the 36" fridge, a built-in microwave space, the built-in espresso machine and a hidden door to the laundry room hiding in a room behind. We have intentionally did only 2 small wall mounted cabinets and instead opt with two 92" windows to allow maximum natural light, this also creates an open feeling in the work space. The edge detail of the island countertop is hand chiseled to give a rough sensation and works wonderfully with the reclaimed wood island, while the main countertop boasts a straight edge detail to give a modern touch.

A Modern home that wished for more warmth... An addition and reconstruction of approx. 750sq. area. That included new kitchen, office, family room and back patio cover area. The custom-made kitchen cabinets are semi-inset / semi-frameless combination. The door style was custom build with a minor bevel at the edge of each door. White oak was used for the frame, drawers and most of the cabinet doors with some doors paint white for accent effect. The island "legs" or water fall sides if you wish and the hood enclosure are Tambour wood paneling. These are 3/4" half round wood profile connected together for a continues pattern. These Tambour panels, the wicker pendant lights and the green live walls inject a bit of an Asian fusion into the design mix. The floors are polished concrete in a dark brown finish to inject additional warmth vs. the standard concrete gray most of us familiar with. A huge 16' multi sliding door by La Cantina was installed, this door is aluminum clad (wood finish on the interior of the door).

This client was looking to create a guest bathroom that had more of an "East Coast" feel. The vanity has inset doors and drawers. Wainscoting was added around the entire bathroom. The pony wall was added to the tub to accommodate fixtures to be within reach. One niche was added above the tub and another was added in the shower (away from view). This contemporary bathroom is located between a bedroom and a walk-in closet. Finesse designed this bathroom to incorporate a stand alone tub, incorporating a 48" x 42" shower stall with a floating bench. The unique trough sink is 48" wide, with two wall mounted sink faucets that protrude through the mirror. The backsplash and trim is crafted of walnut wood planks sealed with marine varnish. The existing kitchen was very dark and narrow, so we removed a wall and bulkheads. This family of seven entertains quite frequently so we add two cooktops, two ovens and a microwave convection oven. We addressed the need for seating by adding two islands one for cooking and one for prep and clean up with an addition of a prep sink. The larger island has an end grain cherry butchers block located between the two cook tops. To help speed the daily activity of prep we added pot filler in the back splash.
