I am super happy with my new kitchen. We had the kitchen from the original build and it was 25 years old….long over due. Matt was great, addressed all questions that popped up and made sure we were happy. I would recommend BST to anyone.

We had a great experience with BST Design & Build. The project was scoped out, started on time and took about 5 weeks which was in the estimated 4-6 week schedule. During the project, questions were answered and the onsite team was very responsive to our wishes, even being creative to ensure our needs were addressed. We couldn’t have been happier with the onsite project lead, Abi. The site was keep clean each day and the end result looks great!

After interviewing several companies, I selected BST Design & Build. Meeting with Matt and showing him my plans for the primary bathroom remodel, he made me feel comfortable with the process, budget and time to complete the work. BST Design and Build did an excellent job of designing and constructing our new kitchen. The crew that did the majority of the work were very talented in their craft. They protected the surrounding area from dust and debris and took their time cleaning up at the end of the day. They were polite, professional and respectful. Specialty crews that worked on our hardwood floors and backsplash were equally as impressive. All matters that needed additional attention were addressed in a timely manner. The project was completed within the time frame that was originally presented to us. The kitchen turned out amazing. I would recommend BST Design and Build for your next home improvement project.

BST redid our kitchen and baths and they look so modern and elegant. The crew was repectful of our property and were nice and always on time. They even finished a few days early. The work is exceptional and we are very pleased.

After seeing how great BST did for a friend, I called them to discuss remodeling my first-floor bathroom. Since I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted, we had several appointments to look over the many options for color, materials, and style. Matt was very patient and professional as we walked through everything. Once I was confident in my choices, we began the actual remodeling process. In just a few weeks, my bathroom was transformed from a boring space to an almost spa-like retreat. I get so many compliments and look forward to working with BST again in the future.

It was past time to update our en suite bathroom. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, but I knew the old tile and ugly tub had to go. Matt and his designer came out to see the space and right away were coming up with some great ideas I hadn’t thought of. They really helped make the whole process painless and I really felt heard. We decided on a color scheme and the materials together, then they really got to work. It turned out more beautiful than I ever imagined and it was done earlier than expected. When we decided to turn the basement into a man cave, we called BST Design and Build. We had heard such good things about Matt and his team. We were immediately impressed by the obvious professionalism. They came out and sat with us to really get an idea of what we wanted. After seeing the space, they created a design beyond even what we had imagined. It was hard to imagine our old basement could be turned into something so great, but they delivered. From the floors to the cabinetry, they took care of everything. It is a great place to relax and entertain.

I had a vision for my new kitchen and needed a design and build team that could see it too. Matt and the team at BST have taken such good care of me. They came out months ago to see the space and I really felt like they listened. Their design looked exactly how I imagined it. I was always kept informed during the remodel about shipping times and work schedules. They met every deadline we set together and worked hard to make sure I was satisfied. In the end, I have my dream kitchen, built with the best quality materials that are made to last for years. I am so pleased with how it turned out.

My wife was getting tired of my DIY projects and insisted on having a professional company come in to handle our kitchen renovation. We got three bids on the job and went with Matt at BST who, after meeting with him, made us feel very confident in his ability and communication. The project was extensive and included knocking down some walls and adding supports for the massive island. We even added a big picture window which allowed us to enjoy the horses on the farm next door. As hard as it is to live through renovations we cannot wait to tackle the next project.

Had we known that the company with the cut-rate flooring prices was going to slap down said flooring in a day and that it would begin to deteriorate within a year because they gave us no insight into the fact that it was not the most appropriate for our climate, we certainly would not have used them. Silly us for thinking that a company who will remain anonymous and supposedly specializes in flooring could be trusted to make educated suggestions for us. Water under the bridge I guess because the replacement just installed by BST Design and Build’s team is not only far superior in appearance and quality, it will last for years. Thank you Matt. We know who to call for any future home improvements.

We used to be real go-getters, always out on the town but as time went by we realized we enjoyed our nights in more than the hassle of traffic and crowds. Matt helped us to come up with an entertainment area that would make any couple prefer staying home over going out. And the crew from BST Design and Build was certainly the right crew to bring that to life. We were right in on the whole thing too from choosing the materials to the placement of everything. The crew could not have been more friendly and they left with an invitation to enjoy an evening in the space they created for us with us.

During the pandemic, I was forced to work at home. I grew to love what I thought was going to be an inconvenience. I became really excited when I realized I could actually do that permanently and skip the commute. I would have so much more quality time with my family. He asked all the right questions about my profession and together we came up with the ideal office space for me. Everything in it is customized to one person and that person is me. The process was completely painless because I was able to continue working from the little makeshift office I had been using during the construction and better yet, I was there to watch it come to life.

When we learned we were going to be adding not one but two people to our happy home, we realized it was going to require some changes. Not only was my wife pregnant, but my mother’s health was also rapidly declining. So we would be welcoming folks from both ends of the age spectrum. Our single bathroom was adequate at best. We wanted to add a private one for my mother and have it equipped with all the necessary items that would make it as easy as possible for her to be as independent and comfortable as she could in it. We also needed to create a comfy bedroom for her and wanted that and her own bathroom to be like her own little living area within the home. We are so pleased with the design Matt conceptualized for us. My mom is arriving next week and I know she will love it. BST Design and Build completed the work right on schedule.

We shopped around for a while to get the remodel we imagined. But after speaking with Matt on the phone we made arrangements for a consult. They didn't waste any time. They came out, reviewed the area then took the measurements that were required to give an accurate quote. I'm glad that we opted to work with them because now we have a completely new kitchen designed exactly how we imagined it should be and it looks amazing.

You have to be very careful as to come into your house nowadays. We originally hired another home renovation company and on the day they were going to start on the work, I found out that their workers were picked up the morning of from the parking lot of Home Depot. I even saw one of them panhandling the night before. I can’t have people like that in my house! I have young children! After I fired that company and told them all to leave, I called Matt at BST Design and Build. He assured me that there is none of that nonsense happening at his company. He and his crew are a team. You will find no contractors with these people. The work they did on my new staircase was amazing.

Matt and his crew were excellent at what they did. Our new kitchen looks fantastic, and Matt went above and above to ensure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. This is a heartfelt thanks to BST Design and Build for completion of our kitchen remodel not on-time but ahead of time. We were nervous from the get-go because we probably waited until it was much too close to Thanksgiving to get things underway. Matt promised our deadline would be met but we have had experiences with other companies who do not deliver what they promise. BST put them all to shame. Our holiday meal was not only tasty but cooked in the kitchen of our dreams. We loved showing off our newer, bigger and much more functional island.

Having postponed and procrastinated on renovating a bathroom that was sorely in need, we recently proceeded with BST. What we expected to be a hassle and an inconvenience was instead a seamless experience. The room is so much more functional, user-friendly and most of all beautiful. Though the needed work was extensive, Matt’s team completed it in such a way so that we were inconvenienced as little as possible.

In our humble opinion the BST in the name BST Design and Build should be changed to BEST to reflect the quality of their work, the material they use for it and the professionalism of the crew that performs it. Matt grasped the intent of what we were looking for in regards to making our large kitchen actually appear as spacious as it was. Its original design was clunky and awkward. He and his crew got right to making that happen. I can’t say the pandemic sped things up but I can say we appreciated the crew’s flexibility in working around its roadblocks was exceptional.

The designers at BST care and that is evidenced in the stunning renovation our home has just undergone. Its appearance has gone from lackluster to one that could be featured in Better Homes and Gardens if I do say so myself. Our patient and talented designer answered each and every one of our many questions about the process brilliantly along the way. This was no small project. It involved our main living space completely and the planning was really time-consuming.

Matt and his team completed some major renovations of a house we recently purchased, which included complete renovations of the kitchen and two bathrooms. Matt was a pleasure to work with and we were very impressed by detail he put into the design of what we wanted the kitchen and bathrooms to look like. Matt and Javi transformed our 1980’s kitchen into a timeless masterpiece. I explained my vision and they executed it flawlessly. Matt was nimble in the face of unforeseen obstacles and was able to pivot and address issues accordingly. In particular, once we discovered we needed a 30 ft support beam installed to protect the integrity of our home he quickly addressed and absorbed much of the unexpected expense. Matt let us be as involved in the design as we wanted to be, including my overbearing focus on the Cambria Brittainica Gold Quartz countertops and backsplash. Kitchen Remodeling - BST Design and Build gutted our old kitchen and installed a completely new kitchen!! Designed kitchen with a lot more counter space, beautiful cabinets with soft close doors, and pull-out shelves. New Island with cabinets all around -- much longer than the previous one with amazing granite. Installed stone backsplash, new exhaust fan with glass on hood and lights, also lights under the cabinets and new sink, faucet, piping, etc., Installed all new ceiling lights, chandelier, and pot hanger, using good quality materials. BST completely remodeled our master bathroom, replacing a dated tub with a modern fully tiled stall shower with sliding glass door, new vanity and flooring. They provided one-stop shopping for the entire project. The materials and supplies were straightforward to select. They finished the project in a timely manner - about 3 weeks. The tiling work is exquisite. The bathroom came out beautiful. Everything works as it should. Matt, Avi and Selvin were a pleasure to work with.

This company is great! They are easy to work with, do a professional job. BST is also a company you can count on to show up on time and get the job done. They went above and beyond during my remodel. They are reasonably priced also which was a key factor for me. I had luxury vinyl plank installed throughout my first floor, new island with quartz top installed on a lockable wheeled platform so I can move it when necessary, like holidays. Luxury plank installed with underlayment all throughout our finished basement, new from porch posts and new railings, a shiplap wall in the living room. All new baseboards with paint.

Matt helped us select good quality cabinets & granite for our basement kitchen & bathroom finishing job. Cabinets & Granite were delivered on time in great condition. Granite was professionally installed. Matt gave us the lowest price for cabinets & granite comined, which was lower than couple other places where we got price quote like Home Depot, Castle Wholesaler, Reico, & United Granite.

People here they try to make you happy and charge very low prices compared to market. Alex, the prokject manager, even told us to search the market and other local businesses before signing our contract. We were absolutely coming back with more projects here. Professional staff. Alex at the cabinet is awesome they did great work, showed up everyday on time and finished when they promised. Tax returns coming in the spring and this is the best time for a remodel. Believe me when you meet Alex and his workers you will feel like you have a new friend. We had a kitchen remodel and they did absolutely the best job ever. My mother loved my. I did a full kitchen remodel with these guys-with Alex as my project manager. They came highly recommended by a good friend and dos a beautiful job on her kitchen. Our initial meetings were great and I had a lot of confidence going into the project. Pros: 1) I loved the design they came up with. They took a tiny kitchen and tiny dining room and made a large kitchen with large island--just what we wanted. Cons: 1) It's possible that I over-negotiated on the front end which led Alex tone frustrated and ultimately write off the project. But once we agreed on a price, I felt nickel and dimes the entire way. From soft close drawers, to a basic shelf, to the most basic moldings around the island base cabinets, everything was an up-charge. Ultimately, our final cost was MORE than the initial estimate I was provided. Mea culpa for negotiating, as it would have been cheaper if I'd just signed initially. 2) Alex promised he would treat the project "like it was his own kitchen and his own home." We left town for the first ten days of demolition and rough-in. When we came home, we found that they'd dumped all the trash from the kitchen in the yard and killed fairly new sod. They didn't lay drop cloths when they painted, and that led to paint on upholstery in the living room and on the kitchen table that didn't come off without tarnishing the finish. They broke lamp--not an expensive one, but ~100. They never apologized, never made it right or acknowledged it. 3) Once we were home and living in the chaos, there was virtually no communication. At 8am, I'd get a text that the workers were arriving by 10am that day. At 1pm, I'd call to say they hadn't arrived, and I'd be told that they were not coming for another 2 days. We never knew when workers would show up, and when they arrived, they would sometimes stay for an hour to do a quick job and then leave. 4) When the kitchen was "finished," there was so much that was most definitely incomplete. Nail holes in the molding were never filled and painted; likewise with molding seams around standalone cabinets and range hood. The dishwasher was installed crooked and at an angle. Two of the shelves that we were charged for "wouldn't fit" due to no pre-drilled holes, but we were never refunded any money. The grout between the counter and backsplash crumbled after a week, leaving a 1/4 cm space between counter and tile. I ended up hiring someone else to come fix the work and make it look right--for another $600. The total project cost 60k--with 37k going to united cabinet. We thought it was a terrible experience, we were treated like we were nuisance or like Alex was doing us a favor to return a call or show up. In fact, he never came to do a final walk through--he delegated that job to someone we had never met previously in the process. My friend did think they were fabulous-but I would describe it as the worst contractor experience I've ever had. (In fact, I believe it's the only bad experience I've had.) Buyer beware. I would advise friends and neighbors to steer clear.

United Cabinet Store Remodeling did a complete renovation of our kitchen and dining room which involved removing a load-bearing wall and repairing pre-existing structural damage to our home. Overall entire job went quite well, it was a huge undertaking. We are happy with the results. They were great to work with throughout the project.

My husband and I came across United Cabinet while surfing the Internet we were looking to renovate our kitchen cabinets. We were looking for a reasonable price but yet good quality cabinets. Upon arriving to the showroom the representatives were very nice and welcoming. They told us to take a look around and they gave us some input on the different types of cabinets that they carried. We found a style that we liked and to our surprise they came out the same day to measure our kitchen for the install. (No appointment was needed). The price of the cabinets were right in our budget and we was even able to get a granite top and a sink was included. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Alex had a lot of suggestion he showed us. Out of all the quotes from other companies. He gave new suggestion no one else thought of, with the layout of our kitchen, The crew worked with our schedule, was always on time, fast and efficient, the cost was affordable. We could not be more pleased with United Cabinet Store in Elkridge. Our kitchen rehabilitation included new cabinets, knocking down a wall, moving electric sockets, installing an over-the-range microwave, upgrading the plumbing, and installing a quartz countertop. We were looking for a contractor who was creative, easy to work with, and would perform a thorough job on a relatively modest budget. Ahmet Gumus, the co-owner and project manager on our job, was a pleasure to work with along with his son, Alex. They were reliable, creative, and trustworthy. They worked within our budget without pushing for more expensive material. Ahmet more than delivered on everything that United Cabinet Store had committed to do. He even assisted us obtain a high quality quartz countertop at a very reasonable cost. As with any project, you always encounter surprises; however, Ahmet was very helpful when it came to problem solving – for example, he managed to have his contractor build a cabinet when we mistakenly opted not to include a lazy Susan corner cabinet in our kitchen design. His team of contractors were a delight to have in our home – they were always cheerful and helpful. The plumber worked late on a Saturday evening to complete the job. The Gumus team responded promptly to emails and calls. Ahmet followed through on everything they promised to do at a very reasonable cost. We will be going back to United Cabinet Stores in Elkridge for future bathroom and backsplash projects we have planned for our house. Great company – keep up the good work.

From the design, cabinet workmanship to the installation, working with the United Cabinet Store crew was an amazing experience. Their showroom has a variety of wonderful cabinetry and other finishes, which made the remodel of out kitchen so much easier. They have an extremely professional approach, creative design ideas and a time commitment. We had been extremely selective on the look and feel of the countertop, backsplash and floor tile and cabinet that would go with our stainless steel appliances that we recently purchased. He helped us walk through the options and he very quickly demonstrated everything about kitchen remodeling. We were shopping for a modern kitchen and went to all local showrooms. We found that United was providing a good semi-custom and full custom quality cabinets unlike other stores whom sell cheap "made in china" products which surprisingly gets old and loses its shine, sturdiness in less than a year. The staff at the showroom was helpful and patient, really trying to understand and assist us. The quality of the installation was excellent as well - and surprisingly fast. All went fine and we are happy with our new kitchen cabinets.

Alex, from United Cabinet Store, was really easy to work with and always seemed to have an answer when I had any questions or ideas. Often times I wouldn't be there with them while they were working because I was at work and my wife would be there with them. This was our second time working with United Cabinet Store for a remodeling project for our newly purchased house in Maryland, and once again we were very pleased with the professionalism, responsiveness, and personal service we received throughout the entire process. We had an absolutely outstanding experience working with United Cabinet Store's team-- I'm a little late submitting the review, but, definitely want to do a shout out for Alex and Dwain who helped us with our project. We bought a house last fall and needed to revamp the kitchen. My wife shopped around quite a bit since it was going to be quite an investment -- we found Alex excellent to work with on a number of fronts -- quality, pricing, selection, and, design support. They turned around drawings pretty quickly and gave us several recommendations on the layout as well as various options that have made life a lot easier. Once we placed the order, we still ended up making a couple of modifications that Alex was very accommodative on. I need to post pictures, but we went with a Fino Bronze on the main cabinets and a Wenge/Chocolate for our Island. When our contractor was installing the cabs, he stated on several occasions that they were absolutely the best quality he had installed in his 20 years of remodeling. While we ended up with a bit of a snafu on delivery schedule, overall, our experience with Alex was absolutely 5 star, and, when I think about the quality of what we got, and the very 'designer' look, it was absolutely worth it. When you are considering a sizeable investment such as a kitchen remodel -- do yourself a favor, don't focus on lowest price (unless you're just looking to flip a property) -- think about having to live with the kitchen for 20 years -- what will provide you with the durability, functionality, and, a looks that you will enjoy for that timeline. I truly want to point out the professionalism of United Cabinet Store. We had a very pleasant experience with this company. They had renovated our kitchen for a fair price compared to other remodeling companies out in the MD area. Very knowledgeable and helpful customer service. Alex was very professional and very to the point where we needed some clarifications regarding to questions and he took his time to answer every each one of them.
