We also provided substantial shelving space for the couple to store their large collection of shoes, sweaters and accessories, and we added key accessories like a locking jewelry drawer and tilt out hampers.

The “Rustic Classic” is a 17,000 square foot custom home built for a special client, a famous musician who wanted a home befitting a rockstar. This Langley, B.C. home has every detail you would want on a custom build. For this home, every room was completed with the highest level of detail and craftsmanship; even though this residence was a huge undertaking, we didn’t take any shortcuts. This kitchen exudes a sense of elegance, cleanliness, and freshness. This kitchen creates an illusion of space and airiness making it an inviting and uplifting space. Center stage of this kitchen is the benchtop and splash back! But the neutral backdrop of the white kitchen also makes the gold handles and tapware stand out.

An active senior living community set across 5 acres offers a range of living options for seniors, from independent living to assisted living to assisted memory care services. The community offers 100 independent living units, 32 assisted living units and 47 memory care assisted living units as well as a range of high-end amenities, including a restaurant, bistro, theater, pub, salon and gym. The pub, restaurant and bistro each have distinct design styles and identities, allowing residents to choose from a range of spaces in which to spend their time. Nestlevel’s design draws inspiration from traditional hospitality design, creating a modern environment that uses abundant natural light, natural finish materials throughout and a variety of community gathering spaces to attract a wide range of age groups and demographics, and encourage resident use and socialization.

The client’s vision was to modernise their holiday home to bring a contemporary coastal look and feel to the entire house so that it might be enjoyed by their family and others looking for a sea side escape. The exisiting home was in need of an update as the dark walls, heavy curtains and stark white tiled floors made the home feel cold and clinical. To create a fresh and modern feel a neutral colour palette was introduced. The walls were painted in Dulux Quarter Lexicon and new natural coloured sheer curtains and block outs blinds were installed to soften the space. All new furniture and decor was purchased for the home, using materials and colours that tied in with the style such as timber, rattan, jute and linen to create a relaxed and welcoming environment. The end result is a relaxing and modern coastal retreat that reflects their interior style and the beach side location of the home.

The renovation of this classic Muskoka cottage, focused around re-designing the living space to make the most of the incredible lake views. This update completely changed the flow of space, aligning the living areas with a more modern & luxurious living context. In collaboration with the client, we envisioned a home in which clean lines, neutral tones, a variety of textures and patterns, and small yet luxurious details created a fresh, engaging space while seamlessly blending into the natural environment. The main floor of this home was completely gutted to reveal the true beauty of the space. Main floor walls were re-engineered with custom windows to expand the client’s majestic view of the lake. The dining area was highlighted with features including ceilings finished with Shadowline MDF, and enhanced with a custom coffered ceiling bringing dimension to the space. Unobtrusive details and contrasting textures add richness and intrigue to the space, creating an energizing yet soothing interior with tactile depth.

The slim bones of Danish modern design are played out in tapered, almond-toned hardwood. Neatly neutral linen offers a just-right combination of comfort and sophistication. Dimensions: W: 28" H: 30.25" D: 30.25

The now updated primary bathroom feels much more open, purposeful, and the shower footprint has tripled. Modern whites and creamy neutrals give this attractive bathroom a calming Zen yet chic aesthetic. Custom Walnut cabinetry adds depth and richness, providing generous storage while complementing the leathered Taj Mahal stone surface and polished nickel fixtures. A double niche was incorporated in the design for convenient space- saving storage and a smart toilet bidet was necessary for comfort. Every material was chosen for its beauty and function, resulting in a serene, spa-like environment that invites daily relaxation and doesn’t fall into a single style category.

Our guest bath features a shower surround of 3 x 6 carrara tiles set in a subway pattern. The framed beadboard wall treatment is made of PVC so should be perfect for the humid bath environment. The floor is basket weave carrara framed with 3 x 6 carrara tiles.

Cella Architecture - Erich Karp, AIA Laurelhurst Portland, OR This new Tudor Revival styled home, situated in Portland’s Laurelhurst area, was designed to blend with one of the city’s distinctive old neighborhoods. While there are a variety of existing house styles along the nearby streets, the Tudor Revival style with its characteristic steeply pitched roof lines, arched doorways, and heavy chimneys occurs throughout the neighborhood and was the ideal style choice for the new home. The house was conceived with a steeply pitched asymmetric gable facing the street with the longer rake sweeping down in a gentle arc to stop near the entry. The front door is sheltered by a gracefully arched canopy supported by twin wooden corbels. Additional details such as the stuccoed walls with their decorative banding that wraps the house or the flare of the stucco hood over the second floor windows or the use of unique materials such as the Old Carolina brick window sills and entry porch paving add to the character of the house. But while the form and details for the home are drawn from styles of the last century, the home is certainly of this era with noticeably cleaner lines, details, and configuration than would occur in older variants of the style.
