Breathe Design StudioCompleted in 2015, this project incorporates a Scandinavian vibe to enhance the modern architecture and farmhouse details. The vision was to create a balanced and consistent design to reflect clean lines and subtle rustic details, which creates a calm sanctuary. The whole home is not based on a design aesthetic, but rather how someone wants to feel in a space, specifically the feeling of being cozy, calm, and clean. This home is an interpretation of modern design without focusing on one specific genre; it boasts a midcentury master bedroom, stark and minimal bathrooms, an office that doubles as a music den, and modern open concept on the first floor. It’s the winner of the 2017 design award from the Austin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and has been on the Tribeza Home Tour; in addition to being published in numerous magazines such as on the cover of Austin Home as well as Dwell Magazine, the cover of Seasonal Living Magazine, Tribeza, Rue Daily, HGTV, Hunker Home, and other international publications.

London Bay HomesNestled within Lucarno – a village neighborhood inspired by the charm and classic style of Europe’s Mediterranean region – the four-bedroom, single-family villa has won numerous awards for its design.
Fully furnished by Romanza Interior Design, the Capriano’s 4,402-square-foot open floor plan features a great room with linear fireplace, adjoining wine bar and library with pocket sliding glass doors that open to an outdoor living and kitchen area. A trio of arches frame views of a custom pool and spa, a lake and Mediterra’s Parterre Gardens.
The master suite features a bathroom with glass partitions that offer views of a private garden from the freestanding tub. An open staircase with decorative railing ends at a wet bar positioned to serve a second-floor lounge and guest suite with balcony, while a sun deck offers a bird’s eye view of the lake and gardens.

EXISTING LANDSCAPE DID NOT COMPLIMENT THE OUTSTANDING ADJACENT DESERT NOR THE UNIQUE MARK SOLOWAY ARCHITECTURE. GOAL WAS TO CREATE A BEAUTIFUL DIALOGUE WITH THE ADJACENT DESERT AND RESIDENCE.

INCREASE VISUAL APPEAL/LOWER WATER USE WITH NUMEROUS SPECIMEN SUCCULENTS AND A PLANTING DESIGN THAT IS INVITING, COLORFUL AND GRACIOUS, INCREASE YEAR AROUND COLOR AND BLOOMS TO ATTRACT NATIVE POLLINATORS SUCH AS BIRDS, BATS, HUMMINGBIRDS AND BUTTERFLIES MITIGATE DAMAGE TO PORTIONS OF THE PROPERTY PREVIOUSLY USED AS CONSTRUCTION STAGING AREAS

MODUThe Chelsea Loft combined two adjacent lofts into a four bedroom home. The home was designed to flexibly adapt with the owners as they grew their young family. The design also preserved the open industrial spaces of the original loft building. These open spaces were created for multiple activities throughout the day: entertaining, cooking, lounging, playing, exercising, and working. Sliding wall panels and “deep” walls housed numerous storage systems, allowing for areas to be adapted differently throughout the day. The adaptability of the spaces was the essential aspect to the design-- transforming the owners’ everyday needs into a flexible and well-loved home. The interior partitions were also minimized, which maximizied the natural light flowing from three sides of the loft. One of these sides included an outdoor terrace, which was also renovated to provide a more open connection between the interior and exterior.

Miriam Moore Design Studio LLCMIRIAM MOORE has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Miami International University of Art and Design. She has been responsible for numerous residential and commercial projects and her work is featured in design publications with national circulation. Before turning her attention to interior design, Miriam worked for many years in the fashion industry, owning several high-end boutiques. Miriam is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
