- Purchased as a newly completed spec home built by Robert Elliott Custom Homes, the beauty of the steel windows let in an abundance of light. We chose to add personality of the family by painting numerous walls, adding layers of wallcovering in majority of the spaces, replaced light fixtures and carefully designed each room with touches of geometry to continue the classic approach.

We planted numerous varieties of native plants to complement the natural surroundings. Beautiful native landscape stone was used throughout the property, adding a timeless elegance to the walkways and patio spaces.

With such a beautiful view, the windows were extended to allow as much natural light as possible. This homeowner wanted to make the island both focal and functional. The addition of the cooktop and seating around the island help achieve both. For ease of function and space, pull out Lemans sets were added to each of the corner units. The Brooke Residence ‘Addi- tion by Subtraction’ remodeling project was recognized with numerous regional and national awards and was selected for Fine Homebuilding’s Annual Issue on Houses. This 1920’s Craftsman Bungalow had been poorly modified in the 70’s in an attempt to address poor energy performance with a scabbed on solarium. The design solution removed the solarium and completely reimagined the floor plan: The kitchen was relocated to the rear; the stairway was relocated to enhance function, and a better connection to the family room was created.

A bearing wall between the dining area and the kitchen -as seen here- was removed. Two skylights were installed over the prep and cooking areas. Shaker cabinets convey a clean yet classic feel. A substantial island doubles as a breakfast bar which sits four. There are numerous cabinets to store dishes, dinnerware and all necessary utensils. Slate flooring, black and silver granite countertops and iridescent glass mosaic backsplashes complete the design scheme..

A Mid Century modern home built by a student of Eichler. This Eichler inspired home was completely renovated and restored to meet current structural, electrical, and energy efficiency codes as it was in serious disrepair when purchased as well as numerous and various design elements being inconsistent with the original architectural from subsequent renovations. The Pool and backyard was redesigned to accommodate for wheelchair accessibility.
