This bathroom remodel was designed by Nicole from our Windham Showroom. This remodel features Cabico Essence Vanity with Maple wood Granita (slab) door style with Churchill (Light gray) paint finish. It also features Cambria quartz with Praa sands and Bevel edge. The floor is Alterna 12x12 Carrera marble collection, gray color. The shower tile is Anatolia 12x12 walls & 2x2 floor classic marble and Laticrete Bright White Carrera grout. Other features include Kohler white round sink, Kohler Brushed Nickel faucet, Medicine Cabinet, and Light fixture, Gerber white toilet, 3/8”frameless sliding door w/ fixed panel frosted finish & brushed nickel and for cabinet hardware from Top Knobs Flat Black handles.

A minimal insertion into a densely wooded landscape, the Collector’s Pavilion provides the owners with an 8,000 sf private fitness space and vintage automobile gallery. On a gently sloping site in amongst a grove of trees, the pavilion slides into the topography - mimicking and contrasting the surrounding landscape with a folded roof plane that hovers over a board formed concrete base. The clients’ requirement for a nearby room to display a growing car collection as well as provide a remote area for personal fitness carries with it a series of challenges related to privacy and security. The pavilion nestles into the wooded site - finding a home in a small clearing - and merges with the sloping landscape. The building has dual personalities, serving as a private and secure bunker from the exterior, while transforming into a warm and inviting space on the interior. The use of indirect light and the need to obscure direct views from the public right away provides the client with adequate day light for day-to-day use while ensuring that strict privacy is maintained. This shifting personality is also dramatically affected by the seasons - contrasting and merging with the surrounding environment depending on the time of year. The Collector’s Pavilion employs meticulous detailing of its concrete to steel to wood connections, exploring the grounded nature of poured concrete in conjunction with a delicate wood roof system that floats above a grid of steel. Above all, the Pavilion harmonizes with it’s natural surroundings through it’s materiality, formal language, and siting. The custom paneled integrated refrigerator and freezer columns were separated by a single oven and a steam oven a with warming drawer below which were placed side by side for convenience and visual balance. Under each of these appliances, the top drawer provides a Dekton pull-out tiled bread board for a hot and cold landing area. A kitchen this large leaves plenty of room for a large island limited only by the size of the slab. The large island holds the induction cooktop, down-draft, and microwave drawer. Within the base cabinets facing the huge windows to the rear of the home, the 5 foot single bowl Galley workstation was specified with its 9 piece culinary kit. It was complemented with two touchless pull-down faucets for their two person kitchen. Inserts for the base cabinets include a double tiered cutlery divider, waste baskets, pull out trays, posts to hold plates, knife and tray divider, bin utensil storage and spice pull-outs. The kitchen transformed from a small space to a two person kitchen with an open transitional style with warm walnut veneer slab cabinets contrasted with white-painted shaker style cabinets and finished off with a piece of slab artful quartz. The dimmable pendants and recessed lights add various moods for entertaining.

Gary Canner (Photographer): Asian inspired spa portion of this "bathroom spa" creates a very peaceful and relaxing ambiance. The room consists of a steam/shower with chroma light, an infrared sauna with music system, and porcelian bubble massage air bath. The undermount air tub is topped by a virtually seamless man-made stone. The same material is used for the window sill. The automated widow shades offer privacy and light control at the switch of a button, as do the LED candles. The 2-person infrared sauna features a glass corner and stereo music system.

Inspiration for a large modern attached two-car garage remodel in Denver

A family home that had been handed down needed some updating. Pulled down some walls and viola! A space to have the grandkids over to make cookies....and memories!

The clients’ preference was for a more contemporary look. A dramatic transformation was achieved with the addition of sapele mahogany, Spanish cedar, steel, aluminum and glass all coordinating nicely with the existing stucco and stone. A Sapele Mahogany door with bronze hinges was chosen and accented with side lites featuring Obscure Monumental glass. Hubbardton Forge Grande & Medium fixtures were used to accent the door. Originally built in 1990 the Heady Lakehouse began as a 2,800SF family retreat and now encompasses over 5,635SF. It is located on a steep yet welcoming lot overlooking a cove on Lake Hartwell that pulls you in through retaining walls wrapped with White Brick into a courtyard laid with concrete pavers in an Ashlar Pattern. This whole home renovation allowed us the opportunity to completely enhance the exterior of the home with all new LP Smartside painted with Amherst Gray with trim to match the Quaker new bone white windows for a subtle contrast. You enter the home under a vaulted tongue and groove white washed ceiling facing an entry door surrounded by White brick. Once inside you’re encompassed by an abundance of natural light flooding in from across the living area from the 9’ triple door with transom windows above. As you make your way into the living area the ceiling opens up to a coffered ceiling which plays off of the 42” fireplace that is situated perpendicular to the dining area. The open layout provides a view into the kitchen as well as the sunroom with floor to ceiling windows boasting panoramic views of the lake. Looking back you see the elegant touches to the kitchen with Quartzite tops, all brass hardware to match the lighting throughout, and a large 4’x8’ Santorini Blue painted island with turned legs to provide a note of color. The owner’s suite is situated separate to one side of the home allowing a quiet retreat for the homeowners. Details such as the nickel gap accented bed wall, brass wall mounted bed-side lamps, and a large triple window complete the bedroom. Access to the study through the master bedroom further enhances the idea of a private space for the owners to work. It’s bathroom features clean white vanities with Quartz counter tops, brass hardware and fixtures, an obscure glass enclosed shower with natural light, and a separate toilet room. The left side of the home received the largest addition which included a new over-sized 3 bay garage with a dog washing shower, a new side entry with stair to the upper and a new laundry room. Over these areas, the stair will lead you to two new guest suites featuring a Jack & Jill Bathroom and their own Lounging and Play Area. The focal point for entertainment is the lower level which features a bar and seating area. Opposite the bar you walk out on the concrete pavers to a covered outdoor kitchen feature a 48” grill, Large Big Green Egg smoker, 30” Diameter Evo Flat-top Grill, and a sink all surrounded by granite countertops that sit atop a white brick base with stainless steel access doors. The kitchen overlooks a 60” gas fire pit that sits adjacent to a custom gunite eight sided hot tub with travertine coping that looks out to the lake. This elegant and timeless approach to this 5,000SF three level addition and renovation allowed the owner to add multiple sleeping and entertainment areas while rejuvenating a beautiful lake front lot with subtle contrasting colors.

The challenge was to create a modern, minimalist structure that did not interfere with the natural setting but rather seemed nestled in and part of the landscape while blurring the lines between interior and exterior spaces. Special Features and Details: • wood floor, ceiling and exterior deck all run in the same direction drawing the eye toward the water view below • valence encompassing the living space aligns with the face of the loft floor and conceals window shades and uplighting. • pocket doors are flush with the ceiling adding to the feeling of one room flowing into the other when the doors are open • ample storage tucks into the walls unobtrusively • baseboards are set in, flush with the walls separated by a channel detail. • deck appears to float, creating a sense of weightlessness. This detail repeats at the bedside tables and bathroom vanity • obscured glass window in shower provides light and privacy
